Mugello Race Day

Lorenzo has broken Dovi.  Spies not threatening in the fight for 4th.

wow. wat a boring race! must've have been the record in no position changes for like half the grid

WTF happened to Edwards? Lorenzo was not riding at his practice pace in the 1.49s. Could it be

Rossi's injury shook him? Spies had an amazing start and rode a smart race.

Lorenzo looks strangely pissed.

Puig actually smiling and hugging people.  WTF!?

14 get to the flag Edwards and Bautista over 1 min back

Casey 4th nearly 26 sec back

not great for whats regarded as the Pinnacle of bike racing

Tech .... Suck

10th n 12th in the riders championship

Lorenzo gives Rossi some support wearing a shirt

Lorenzo no where near his practice pace. What was that? Did Stoner realize that it wasn't diarrhea but actually confidence he was feeling in his belly with one lap to go? I think we better get use to the Fiat & repsol show.

And Jorge really is turning into a classy chap, wearing a vale shirt on the podium.

Jorge wearing a yellow VR46 shirt on the podium....

I somehow doubt he's terribly sincere....

Excellent race!

Pedro puts on a stunner!

Lorenzo pissed off.

4th place fight was more swapping than many an entire race. The Ducati is now a bike anyone can ride. Maybe Australia post will replace the CT110's with them ?

Dovi is the dark horse this year.

That image is the avatar of a good friend of mine on another forum.

Looking at Lorenzo - maybe I'm reading too much into it - but aside from the obvious disappointment

of not being able to beat Rossi in a season long campaign - I think he's genuinely upset to see the

Goat so badly injured. A fellow racer is a fellow racer no matter what. I think it was genuine class on

his part to wear the Rossi shirt on the podium and not just for good PR.

Yes, it is a bike that anyone can ride slowly.

It looks as though honda has the power advantage now.

I'm sure he was sincere ........ about cashing in on a bit of spare Vale-Luv that was floating around the stands

Just a gut feeling - but I think you're way off base. All three of them were really somber in the interviews.

Real racers even tho they'll do anything to win - respect great competitors and who's a more respected

competitor than Rossi? Really... Lorenzo has nothing to gain by wearing the 46 shirt.

When I used to club race - any time a rider was badly hurt at a weekend - it always threw a

pall over the paddock and my sense is of it is that the same was true this weekend at Mugello.

I was being sarcastic. Beats me why they haven't gone screamer again for Stoner. They have gone big bang and the rear grip is better ....... cue watch out for front troubles ..
<

What worries me is that they have now gone on with the big bang bike that clearly does not suit Stoner and is a mediocre performer at best. So Stoner will be getting further and further away from the screamer, and may now regret getting back on it for its ferosity.

What was telling is that Stoner's performance over the past few years at Mugello was better than this year. Though only now since he made it to the end can we see that

( Stoner held the track record up until Pedrosa's performance today )

Stoner had no confidence in the front, kept backing off passes he could of easily made on melandri and depuniet.

Unlucky for Hayden, made a terrible start and was just pushing too hard.
