Can anyone beat Rossi here? He won last year despite having a massive lack of top speed, but his 'point and squirt' acceleration strategy worked wonders for him.

1. Rossi
2. Stoner
2= Jorge
4. Dani

Second is too hard to call for me.

Despite Rossi not being beaten at Mugello since 2001 I think 2008 could be the year he is finally beaten but its hard to bet against him.

1 - Pedrosa/Rossi
2 - Rossi/Pedrosa
3 - Stoner
4 - Lorenzo
5 - Caparossi

I think Rossi will be hard to beat. He seems to always go REALLY well at this track, plus he's on a roll now. The Ducatis and Hondas seem to have a top speed advantage, but it was even worse last year, and we all know how that ended.

He has never lost since on MotoGP machinery. He didn't win in 2000 or 2001 as I think he was involved in an incident with Biaggi and Caparossi in 2000 and he crashed in the wet in 2001 while riding in the Hawaian blue livery.

Rossi
Lorenzo
Pedrosa

I hope for a fight between the two young ones and som ..... slapping of Pedrosa as he looses out on the brakes.

Stoner might come by and snap second though if he gets his head and bike straight.

Stoner - Come on Ducati will not lay down like that.
Rossi-
Lorenzo
Pedrosa
Capirossi

Ummm...the King Of Mugello would now allow that
1. Rossi
2. Lorenzo
3. Stoner
4. Pedrosa

1. rossi/stoner
2. lorenzo
3. pedroot
4. toseland

i think the number one spot for the championship may see all the top 4 players at the top at some point, im not writing stoner off because we know the ducati is still the fastest thing out there thats all its lacking is the rite setup.

it maybe the fastest bike out there but 41 points behind the leader and 38 behind loreznzo and dani is a very tall order. i think he may claw back a few points throughout the season but thats it. mugello may have a monster straight but half the track is tight twistys where i think they will loose a lot of ground.
with that in mind im going to change my prediction.

rossi
lorenzo
capi, i hope
poison dwarf.
stoner

Rossi
Lorenzo
Pedro
Stoner
Dovi
Capirex

As I recall Casey struggled in the third split, and was contentiously denied a rostrum by Barros's Dantin Desmo last year.

While we're here, Barcelona:

Pedro
Rossi
Lorenzo
Stoner
Capirex
Dovi

For stoner to catch up, he'd have to go on a tear reminiscent of last season while the others in front of him took points off of each other. 8 wins take 40 points off of anyone. In some ways it's easier to fight back against 3 strong competitors, if in fact he does have the most pace. With no one head and shoulders out in front, wins add up more.

If it was just rossi 41 points clear of a second-place stoner, that'd be a far taller order.

1) Rossi
2) Lorenzo
3) Stoner
4) Dovi
5) Pedrosa
6) Capirossi
7) Toseland
8) Okada
9) Edwards
10) Melandri
...

Stoner on Pole followed by Rossi and Pedrosa

1) Stoner
2) Rossi
3) Jorge

Main reason for Stoner is that Ducati now owe it to him, bike should be .... hot and he'll be angry... I hope.
