And in regard to sucking Carmelo's weenie, question: how do you suppose Michelin got the contract to return to MotoGP in the first place? I can't wait to hear you answer. Surely it had nothing to do with sucking up to the entity in the position to award the contract.

.

Who else was even involved in the tyre nomination process, Dunlop? Pirelli? Maxxis? Chen Shing?
Please answer. I need to know.

Michelin and Michelin probably.

No different than when Bridgestone got the contract, Michelin were told not to bother tendering a bid.

Dunlop is already supplier for Moto 2 and Pirelli for WSBK. The other companies have no experience with supplying slicks for race bikes of this caliber. Rather narrows the field - don't you think?

Re: being told not to bother tendering a bid; given the poor showing by Michelin at the time (and lets assume that Dorna wants Mr Golden Goose to be happy) then naturally Dorna would chose the company that was desired by Rossi and Stoner and everyone else in the field. Sometimes the most obvious answer is the right one.

I ran Yokohama slicks once. (not on my list)
They were special.

Probably... Probably.
So your prognostications on Rossi leading the development (or being tuned as such) are as confident?

Jape, my man - Gotta ask.

How would you know? :p Seriously - cognitive dissonance much? Even Señor Hubris - wouldn't make such a preposterous statement except in jest. So as you seem sane - I'll take that as tongue in cheek. If your argument is based solely on making jingoistic pronouncements about anyone agreeing with Kropo being automatically wrong about everything, then you are just shooting intellectual blanks. And who is it by the by, that I am alleged to hate? Playing the haters card is the last refuge of someone lacking a defensible reply.

Right is right!

Right is might!

When you're in the right, you don't even question it, because how could you be anything but right?

:group::heart:

I'm just ....... with you.

Dude! You know it's all fun and games. That's why we all do this. Carry on!

And have a great 4th of July everybody.

Peace Out.

They do plan months in advance and afaik even put stocks in place well in advance. Weather is predictable to a degree, if it is same month same place; contingencies are more related to events like rain.

When there really are dramatic unforseen changes in temperature they are usually caught off-guard, aren't they.

So come the British round they must send all types as we can get 4 seasons in 1 day!

I'd like all tyre manufacturers (that want to) supply to all the groups that make up the GP circus. IMO it'd make life a lot more interesting for us humble road tyre users.

I think the 2016 narrative will be everybody complaining until Michelin get it right...
ONLY if Marc & Rossi are NOT winning. If they are, Michelin will be celebrating like Muslims at a grenade convention.
