MotoGP Announcers ... love fest with Marquez even when he crashes?

I know the commentators are there to generate excitement, but come on ...

1. They keep claiming Marquez has matured? Say what, are we watching different MotoGP races or something? Marquez has never "matured", he's never learned anything. Crash or win, that's about the extent of his mental process, it's not change and will not change because he thinks it's good.

2. Marquez crashes in Mugello and the commentators continue to gush over how well he crashed and we even had to spend two laps of wasted time watching Marquez circle round in 17th with no one around? Huh? Why? There are good races going on up front from 1-6th.

3. The commentators even mentioned they took flak from online sites because they were talking about Marquez too much, geeee, ya think? They're praising the guy even when he's falling down. I don't hear them praising anyone else when they crash?

Marquez is a ..... following his ego and wherever that takes him - he's so desperate to try and catch up to Rossi's numerous records, he's blinded by stupidity. He ran Petrucci off the track by turn 2/3 ... he had a good championship gap, he didn't need to be stupid aggressive, and yet, the village ..... continues his rampage of crash or win.

Had Marquez not crashed Rossi out in Argentina the championship would be < 10 point difference. Marquez isn't learning a thing, he believes he doesn't have anything to learn.

Congrats to Lorenzo, maybe his bad Karma from the Marquez support year and starting a war with Rossi is finally over and the Monkey is off his back ... but he needs to be consistent for the next few races if he wants to retain his job at Ducati ... they will not forget he crashed out Dovi and Pedrosa by not being aware.

Yamaha needs to figure out how to make their bike work on hot days ... how can they be so far behind in electronic sensor calibration relative to the other teams?

Yes, the media bias in favour of MM is terrible. What are they doing giving any attention to the guy who has won 4 of the last 5 titles and is the defending champion ?. They should continue to give all their attention to the same guy they have focused on for the last 2 decades even though his last title win was 9 seasons ago.

Arithmetic is also not your strong point, the Argentina incident in all likelihood cost MM more points than it did Rossi, to say nothing of the grid innovations in the first place which were the only reason Rossi was anywhere near MM, so Rossi actually got a net gain from his defense of a hopeless cause in that corner.

Marc is an aggressive rider for sure .. sometimes too aggressive!! But Rossi was the same at some point in his career don’t you remember!? I’ve watched the race and I didn’t heard any of them dixkriding Marquez .. they were impressed that he almost saved his crash only!! Like I said before .. he goes a bit over the edge sometimes but you can’t blame a rider that can win and doesn’t fight to win !! That whole Marquez/Rossi war is childish.. based on their egos.. if Jorge and Rossi can shake hands like they did today.. both Marquez and Rossi should do the same !!

It has nothing to do with Marquez. I dont think he gives a stuff about rossi. Its all in ross is head .... so what can Marquez do?

You should listen to the UK commentators on BT Sport, they are #46 Nut-huggers, referring to Marc as a pantomime villain and calling for a penalty when Marc went up the inside of Petrucci on the first lap.

Had some non-GP watching family round whilst race was on yesterday. The question asked during the race, "Is Rossi all they talk about??"

On the weekend where he started from pole after a while and in his home race, that's pretty reasonable.

Yes in the build up but not during the race with 2 laps to go whn Lorenzo is about to win for the first time in 18 months on a bike he has struggled to get to grips with. With a pretty reasonable gap and a very dominant peformance.

Honestly, mate. It's like a disease. You're totally right under the circumstances of the weekend, even I was happy for Vale having pole at his home race. But it is every race weekend, if Marc is winning they do refer to him as a 'villain' and quite often either make light of, or even justify, the booing.
Add to that there are constant references to Vale being the GOAT, throughout the race and regardless of his performance.
I get that he brought the sport to the masses and his achievements, especially performing as he is at 39, do warrant him a place at the table of the greatest of all time, but the bias of the commentators is at the point where it is to the detriment of the viewing pleasure of the customers (unless you are absolutely so die-hard a Vale fan that you don't care.)
But when casual non-biased observers pick up on it, then that is the acid test.

And it isn't just weekends like this one.
I agree that VR getting a home pole after so long was a massive thing and it added to the atmosphere but those 2 are constant

That's the thing fella, it's not a dig at Vale at all, that pole lap on Saturday was fantastic and I can't even begin to imagine what the atmosphere was like at Mugello, it must've been incredible.
It is just a comment about the commentators bias, regardless of who it is towards.
Having said that I respect both of them immensely as ex-racers and as blokes they have always come across as decent guys. They're just biased, that's all.

The OP sounds like Brexit Remainers in the UK - faced with obvious evidence that announcers are biased towards Rossi can only see the opposite. I fear some form of mental health issue may be responsible, that or a weird combination of drink and drugs.

On a slightly different point, has anyone noticed on Rossi's motogp picture (when they show grid position etc) he looks like a baby chimp. Sorry - but it just makes me laugh everytime I see it.

Back the MMM (Marvelous Marc Marquez) - he did show extreme lack of maturity at Mugello, at the first corner he was trying to break his neck to get in front KNOWING that he was using hard tyres that take a few laps to warm up. I am a MMM fan and this was the first time in a year where he got sucked into the atmosphere and let he testicles control his riding.

Rossi on the other hand was much like CCC (Cal Crutchless Crutchlow) as boring as a Bulgarian pin-up.
