Lorenzo with an absolutely monster pole position lap.

Half a second clear of MM.

I expect Lorenzo to be absolutely on the limit tomorrow. If he loses the title, it's not going to be for lack of effort.

Amazing lap from lorenzo and I think the top 2 lap times in Q2 is from lorenzo.

He already crashed in qualifying. Odds are against it happening in race.

There shouldnt be much pressure on JL. No one else on the grid has anything to gain by doing well tomorrow, other than the rider starting last on the grid. JL should have that edge over the Honda and Ducati riders for that reason. It's basically a scrimmage for everyone except Yamaha. But one of the Yamaha riders is gimped. Nothing to see here really.

Don't forget an Italian Ducati rider could quite easily force one of the Hondas out of the race. Making Rossi's fight for the title easier. It's not over yet.

Ah yes something like that would make Rossi's fight for the title easier. Rossi the puppet master still has some strings to pull eh? I guess if Joe lines up on the grid with the supersoft tire we will all know what the plan is.

Alternatively Carmello "I am calm" Ezpeleta may have a plan or two as well. Why have the riders been gagged? Has Ezzy been delivering ultimatums on behalf of his most treasured pet, issuing orders to all riders to obey the 'spirit of racing' and get the .... out of Rossi's way? Wouldn't put it past him. That would make Rossi's fight easier.

It would be interesting to see the riders protest against all this ........ and simply all pull of track to let Rossi win in the most ridiculous way possible, observing the spirit of racing as dictated, making it obvious to all the championship is a sham, then leave Rossi alone on the podium and press conference to lap up the adulation.
