Introduction
In 1989, through the joint collaboration of the Catalan Autonomous Government, the Montmeló Town Council and the Royal Automobile Club of Catalunya (RACC), work began on giving one of Europe’s most beautiful cities a state of the art race track to match. The Circuit de Catalunya opened on the doorstep of Barcelona in September 1991 and welcomed its first international event that same month, hosting the Spanish F1 Grand Prix. It went on to host the European Motorcycle Grand Prix and in 1995 became home to the Gran Premio de Catalunya. Considered to be one of the best designed circuits of the recent era, the Circuito de Catalunya won the much coveted IRTA ‘Best Grand Prix’ trophy for 2001 and has a general admission capacity of 104,000 spectators.

You opened too early the thread. 12 days until the race. :p:p

Mugello's thread is still running.
:spin:

Nope !! That other thread is history. Mug-glee-oh is finished. I know this because Rossi has already offered up an excuse to his fans on why he did not win. His fans totally believe him so it's confirmed that the Italy episode is now finished. The eyes are dotted and the tees are crossed. I sit here on this thread firmly waiting for his "huge mistake" in Spain.

testing 1&2&

good morning,

does any body have pic update part M1 VR46 in catalunya.

thanks for answer.

Yep Rossi update:

For this round his helmet will have a picture of Uccio's hairy butthole.

This is to symbolise Valentino trying to pull a win out of his ass.

:)

If only I was good with Photoshop :)

Photoshop eludes me too but I do get the picture. Thanks for the chuckle.

this place is dead

Yep you're not wrong

This place previously had great post race discussions and debates.
Plenty of characters too.

And now after a great battle like tonight's race.....this place is just tumble weeds.

Awesome race. The Honda's seemed to have more pace compared to the Yamaha's near the end of the race. Possibly better fuel economy. I think if Yamaha was as good as the Honda, then Rossi could beat Marquez; as it is its going to be very difficult. Not sure what's happening with Lorenzo.

  1. MM -Deserved Win
  2. Rossi - Dani blew your chance at the win
  3. Dani - Tough Riding finally
  4. JLo - Gave up after Rossi passed him

And the rest....well they mostly finished...

This place is dead because people got what they wanted, they literally drove people away with their pomposity.

Marquez benefited from his own mistake. Dani appeared to have his measure. Anyway, it was nice to see a race that resembled GP racing as it has existed for several decades now. Not sure if fuel limitation or electronics are the reason the riders are cautious at the beginning of the race and aggressive towards the end.

Which one and how so?

Good race. Feel sorry for Dani giving away 2nd and 2nd in the championship, but at least he showed some fight. Marc has enough edge on the competition that he can try riskier moves, knowing if they dont work out, he can make up a second in 2-3 laps and have another go.

Marquez : Toying with the competition for the sake of the show

Rossi : Was in place to take advantage of gift

Dani : At least you tried. If you ride like this, second in the championship is yours

Lorenzo: What happened this time?

Underwhelming rides from both Tech 3 riders, especially Smith

Ducati as predicted from their riders showed nothing.

Redding beaten again by battered and mending Hayden who still leads him in the championship after missing 2 races.

Nicky surprised me, I wish we could have seen what was going on back there. I expected very little from Nicky this week. So does Redding still deserve a factory spec Honda next year? Put Tito on that spec Honda! Nicky had good things to say about Scott in his post race presser. I'm not sure what happened back there but Scott was penalized for riding off track.

Finally, does anyone think Cal will back out of his Ducati ride after one year as allowed by his contract? If so, where does he go? I'm not sure he's got very many better options.
