I`ve begun to think that MotoGP is on the out with the sad state of world finance,so,in the words of Francis Bhattia `we should bung `em in together `.Why not? After all,the new tech filters down from both classes to roadbikes doesn`t it?

With the right management and rules I definately think its the future of raciing. The hard part is the rules though, where do we start? Discuss......

bringing those two together given the current circumstances will be inevitable in my opinion

grand prix racing is about prototypes, as soon as you take that part out, what difference is there to sbk?

i personally wouldn't mind having a sort of two class society, manufacturers running the prototypes , the smaller teams running superbikes and a few extra horses for being halfway competitive.

kinda like LMP1 and LMP2 in le mans i guess...only the other way round, nobody benefits from having a few grid fillers riding around at the end of the field

but then again, why should the manufacturers desire to spend more money to be just as competitive as the smaller teams?

in my opinion it doesn't really come down to whether you should put those to together, but rather if motogp can survive given the competition of wsbk

Merge it fook the tech regs

and during each summer break have a one off Transatlantic trophy type race with the test teams / ex champs etc all

££$$ to Ridersforhealth / cjnine etc

I would love to discuss but can do little more than agree wholeheartedly....

We've got two billion people in India and China who may become fans if the FIM start successful talent development programs. You can't really leave out Indo or Malaysia either.

It would be a very serious mistake, imo, to consolidate WSBK and MotoGP when the potential for growth is so immense.

Will never happen. What is more likely to happen is for MotoGP to fail and cease to exist. When the fans realise that not much will change when the 'big' bikes (a complete .... of a term if you ask me) start in 2012 and as has happened previously will happen again i.e spread out fields due to some getting new formula right and others not, they will turn away in droves. This will be further influenced by the retirement of #46 at the end of 2012.

It is my view that prototype racing will exist in the form of alternative energy (AE) powered bikes which will within 5 or so years probably outperform the old ICE.

WSBK will be the premier ICE racing until AE bikes become the bikes you and I ride on the road.

Damn, well thought out and probably very accurate.
