Got the speed and the cash... Monster Energy Yamaha will end the season with more points than one of the factory teams - any takers?

Cheers to Mark Hall and his stout support of bike racing!!

How'd Ben Spies look on the satellite Yamaha now - Monster would love to have him too, I bet... Colin or James (points loser) swapped for Spies in '10?

FYI - I thought a new topic was in order... Didn't feel like posting in A-Pee's fishing pond!

toseland swapped for hopkins after few races. he is a misery, rest of the season should spend along his no.1 fan toby moody...

Interesting...I wonder if they're look will change much. It seems Monster liked Colin's Performance in Practice. He sure made Tos-pot look like a fool.

Maybe Toesland will do better today...

My respect for Colin grows everyday.

This deal isn't possible without his preseason testing results. I'm sure Herve is paying Colin a hefty bonus for landing this deal, but the mess at Tech 3 is regrettable.

Obviously, James is the more marketable of the two. You can't help but think that a big part of the crew chief changes was geared towards improving James performance and helping the team land a major sponsor.

Oddly enough, it is a rejuvenated Edwards who has certainly landed this contract for Herve.

Wouldn't it be nice to have Edwards up the front repeating some of his old SBK form! I still reckon the old Edwards/Baylis era of SBK was magic .... can't remember the year but I think the track was imola ..... that was Edwards at the best!

Ok I guess he seems mellowed with age though

He seems to be liking the package... Bet Toseland doesn't think he's mellowed!!

No I bet Edwards is laughing at how that turned out! ..... and given his comments on "karma" and Hayden ..... I bet he will be "hard to live with" if your name starts with a "J" and ends with "ames Toseland "

Don't know whats happening with Toseland though .... yeah I now he's injured ATM .... but I think he's "not in his element" in MGP.

Just read that Red Bull was a personal sponsor of Toseland's... If Lex is correct in thinking Colin (and/or his performance) helped secure the Monster money, then the Texan just booted the young lad in the 'nads!

It was 2002, some of the best racing I've ever seen.

This should open the door for either Spies to get in or Hopkins to return in 2010. Sad to see Red Bull lose a rider to Monster.

Hopper on a Tech 3 would make my day. That guy deserves 1 season on a machine capable of winning a dry race.

I like JT and i hope he starts performing soon, but something tells me he aint quite got what it takes to compete in this class. But has Hopper?, i dont think so....

I'm gonna go a bit off topic, but I agree! Red Bull is the drink of the gods baby!

And seriously, has anyone ever tried Monster? It's disgusting! Tastes like old cough syrup

You are smoking so much crack. Try an ice cold Monster Assault in the pixelated urban camo can!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Delectable

E c’è chi dice, con un po’ di malignità, che la Yamaha farebbe bene a cercare John Hopkins…

Hopkins could very well be a Yamaha test rider and guest in 2009!
Maybe James will get a Red Bull Yamaha in 2010. He won't be with Tech-3 (especially if Ben wins the WSBK title)!

Firstly, the Tech 3 is a factory-spec bike.
Secondly, he will never replace Lorenzo or Valentino. He'd go back to Suzuki before that!
