Forcada is the same crew chief who refused to listen to Stoner at LCR, does nothing for the confidence of young riders it seems.

Yes, I also recall something along those lines in Stoner’s rookie year at LCR, although both Stoner and Forcada have spoken more of substandard Michelins and the Michelin front being poor./unsuitable for Stoner in general.

Hard to see how it is Vinales’ fault if they are incompatible, or why he wouldn’t have the final word on set-up and tire strategy.

This is really a waiting game right now. Who's going to pull the pin first and who's going to crash handing a podium to either Lorenzo or Rossi.

Edit: Lorenzo is now looking pretty good for the podium or even a win now.

That was almost like an F1 race.
Easily the most boring race in a long time.

You can thank Michshitlin for their playing field leveling tires.

No one can push so no last lap shootout with the leader since they are all doing 57s.

Fair body of evidence accumulating that Dovi is hard to pass on the last lap though.

Yeah, I was expecting a 4-5 rider shootout after watching the Moto3 and Moto2 races.
Maybe Dunlop should do MotoGP tyres too.

Wasn't talking about that. Lorenzo ...... up any possible battle at the end though with his overtake on MM.

Point is more that everyone has begun to conserve tires for the duration of the races now. That was the peak Pirelli experience in F1. Just conserve and lift into corners to preserve the tires.

Solid ride from Dovi, not much between the top 3 and it certainly wasn't a given, he deserved the win. I was really hoping for more of paint scraping dogfight in those final laps given all the words spoken earlier in the week.

Great race. As I've said, the Ducati is the best bike. Petrucci, Dovi and Lorenzo all looked good.

Marquez was very good but was missing a little on corner exit, I think.

Yamaha's late race pace needs more work, but they're not far. Rossi rode well. Let's see what the test brings.

I don’t know how many people here watched the press conference of all the tech heads, but Yamaha did something rare and admitted that they ...... up with the engine and that’s the reason the riders have too much wheelspin.

It’s clear that given a bike that is equal to the Honda and the Ducati, Rossi can still win races. But that’s not going to happen this year.

Lorenzo sure put on a show in Parc Ferme, looking all congratulatory to Dovi. His rep for being a disruptive negative influence in the garage may be catching up with him.

Bring back Bridgestone.

No manufacturer is going to be spot on at every round. A control tire is a control tire. Peeps memory is short. There were more than a few issues w Bridgestone. Michelin's come a long way. And some truly memorable races have been run last year and this, on Michelins.

Yes, he was such a disruptive influence at Yamaha that he won their last 3 world championships, and oddly they don’t look particularly likely to win the title for a second year with his baleful influence removed.

Maybe the improvements of the Ducati bike are all down to Gigi, but it doesn’t look particularly likely Dovi is responsible to me, apart from riding very well last year and at Qatar and again in the recent race. Gigi by all reports wanted Jorge to stay.
