Sorry Holypuck, but looks like Desmo Dovi has fully de-volved into a little ......

The journeyman running his mouth is rich.

He lucked into a perfect storm in 2017 but couldn't get the job done as the pressure ratcheted up. Who can forget when he got beat by Scott Redding to the line at Phillip Island as he wheel spun the whole way out of the final corner.

Lorenzo's Ducati tenure has been less than ideal given his talent level, but he never quit trying to improve. There's a reason he has a bunch of titles Dovizioso is back to being what he is; journeyman. Nice to see Lorenzo wasn't lying about Dovizioso. Hope Ducati enjoys paying that $6 million now.

" because when you have an angry Lorenzo it's usually worse for you.”

Always is. This means Lorenzo is going to be gunning to outscore Dovizioso for the remainder of the season to stick it to him and Ducati.

I’m liking Diva Dovi less and less every time he opens his pie hole. He has taken an anomaly of a year for him as a que to blurt out everything he has kept bottled up for years, and it’s not becoming of him.

He still had that great year which can’t be taken away, including beating MM in multiple last corner duels, a distinction he is unlikely to share with very many riders I would hazard a guess. Even last year though he did need to do more on the non-Ducati tracks imo, and if he wishes to stir up Jorge he got the answer he invited, Jorge having had considerably more than just one good year.

Impossible to read anything on that picture.

From memory he was doing quite well for the whole session I think he was sitting around 7th. Then with 5 mins left everyone bar Marquez went for a time attack.

Not sure if Lorenzo and crutchlow did either buddy

Considering how much time PS members spend bitching about... just about anything, it's kinda ironic the way peeps are turning against Dovi for blowing off steam dontcha think?

Marquez doesn't seem to bother with time attacks in FP2 anymore. I think he spends the whole session working on getting the bike setup for the race while everyone else kills themselves trying to move up the time sheets.

He hasn't won anything since the 125cc title 14 years ago. He has no leg to stand on since he can't win anything in GP or even the old 250cc class. He should keep his mouth shut.

I like Dovi. He only really started giving it to Jorge after Jorge wouldn't get out of the way at Valencia, and after Jorge went to the media saying that Dovi has tried to undermine him throughout his career.

So, only those who've won championships have earned the right to vent about perceived inequity or dishonesty? Only those with top status, who already have all their Ducs in a row should have the privilege of speaking their mind. Yeah... that makes perfect sense.

Long time no post :p still been reading on occasion though!

Unusual results today, both sessions a little mixed from what I expected especially FP2, be interesting to see how it progresses over the Saturday sessions...
Guys on BTSport said MM only used 2 sets of tyres today, never sure they know what they're talking about but seems likely given the results... Another smart start to the weekend, look forward to seeing how it works out with when he turns the screws tomorrow...
Post session inverview with Vinales was quite odd, normally he has a face on when he is unhappy, today was a big smiles while complaining about the bike, can't remember last time I saw that from him!
Really hoping Bautista can put together another solid weekend 2 top 6s on the bounce will do him good with RB Ring coming up next!

As has been said, Lorenzo has 46 victories and 3 world titles. What has Dovizioso done other than luck into a season that was brought about by a in-season tire change that hamstrung Vinales and others? Like I said, at the end of the day when the pressure cooker came full on, he folded like a house of cards.

He didn’t go to the media afterwards at all. The media ran an earlier interview with Movistar where Lorenzo was sarcastically and jokingly agreeing with them.
The media love a good stir...

I hope Lorenzo is spending time figuring out a way to make the hard tire work for him, if it’s going to at this track. Looks like good weather, high temps expected?
