Yep.

A number of years ago (2008/2009) Stoner was boo'ed by certain elements of the crowd and a few others have been as well.

That said, the primary and loudest booing is always for the politicians

Any thoughts on the MM Zarco contact ?.

I am a fan of both riders, and having difficulty fathoming what actually happened.

Zarco explained really well. He was drafting Marc, who was drafting miller. Zarco also got the side draft from Marc and he explained he built more speed than expected, when Marc came across he's line. If anything he proportioned blame to himself for leaving braking a bit too late. 'next moment I was flying'. His words. Glad to see both OK. And sporting of both, whom held concern for each other afterwards.

As Barbed has said, Zarco is taking responsibility.

Nothing more than a race incident, pure and simple and in many ways, surprising that we don't see it more often, although it is there in lower classes (similar situation to the Moto3 one at Lukey actually where draft caused a misjudgement)

Yes I saw those post race interviews. What I didn’t understand was Zarco’s initial comment when interviewed during the race or what exactly he was trying to do in the moment while watching live. I didn’’t really think at the time that MM had cut him off/made a drastic late line change which there seemed to be some implication he had done.

Glad they both are happy the other is un-injured and are not playing any blame games after watching footage themselves.

On the Aussie foxtel feed, the interview I mentioned was during the race. Crafar interviewed both Marquez and Zarco probably within 10 minutes of the crash. The interviews were shown during the race. I have not seen any post race interviews by either rider.

I watched on channel 10 rather than Foxtel as I usually do (probably the same live race coverage) with the live timing on the computer as I also usually do, and saw/heard the interviews live during the race, and read the post race interviews on crashnet after the post to which you replied which clarified things for me. It seemed to me live that it couldn’t really be MM’s fault, but after in the first place being happy both were un-injured I am glad if MM is not being called a dangerous rider once more.

Btw, loved Simon Crafar as a rider and think he has better insight and gets more from the riders than most, but his voice is still quite irritating as others say.

I gotta give Simon kudos. He has come so far with presenting skills in a very short time, relative to his screen time. I was a detractor to his mumbling first attempts. You gotta know he has worked so hard behind the scenes with pronunciation and word flow, He has matured immeasurably and as you say, he has excellent access and rapport with many in the paddock.

I love his reports, his commentary lap on the beemer. In time to come, everyone will see his value to our experience.

Yes, I guess any rider with even a vague familiarity with gp bike racing history has to respect a guy who won a 500 gp race on a WCM customer Yamaha.

I watched the race, waited for the press conference and watched the race again because it was fantastic.

Every crash, not just the MotoGP one looked scary as hell. It’s crazy how fast a bike goes airborne on real grass. They need to AstroTurf it sometime soon.

Kudos to Vinales, that was one hell of a ride on a track where the rider matters more than the bike. I wish we had more such tracks instead of the modern stop and go go-kart specials.

On the grass or on astro grass? Shouldn't make much difference. Maybe natural grass holds water longer... But if you're off track, you're off track.
This is where I dislike massive concrete run off. Great for safety, but not a punishment enough if ran wide. It's great for safety, but encourages harder moves, knowing if you .... up, you can rejoin.

A crazy race. Will have to watch again. Bautista looked really good. I thought he was great on the 250s and have been disappointed in him since coming to the premier class.

....... Zarco had some serious fire in the belly. Would have been even more interesting if he hadn't ...... up. Can't remember the last race with that much passing. Love PI.

I did at first find him irritating, but I'll admit I was wrong, he was new and it takes time to get your feet behind the desk.Are they keeping him for next year? I do hope so and yes he has this funny voice but his knowledge is really spot on now, just needs a bit more time to be as good as Dylan was.
