He'll be back. I don't particularly care for the guy but he's talented and he's shown it on numerous occasions.

if he doesn't get a podium by Mugello I say bring back Bayliss or at least someone who is suppose to suck like Hoffmann...

I think this was actually the point being made. I am not saying I completely agree, but I can see some credibility for the argument. If dani pedrosa is to be believed hrc came up with a significantly re-built 2008 chassis in one week prior to qatar; can ducati corse with it was said last year 100 odd staff at their facility keep up new developments equally to two riders with their spare bikes during the course of a season? I agree they should be able to have equal bikes at the start of a season, but the pace of development by yamaha and honda who were presumably fairly embarassed by last year's result may have been rapid even during pre-season testing.

in 5 years hes had enough chances.

you throw a dart a thousand times your likely to get a bullseye at least once, doesnt mean u got talent

But he hasn't thrown a dart a thousand times, he's thrown a dart maybe 75 times and gotten a bullseye a handful of times and a couple close ones (podiums) on probably 20 occasions. There are only a handful of guys in the field more talented than him. And for a number two rider, you can't ask for much more than Marco Melandri.

I don't know why you are so keen to hate Melandri. He was 5th in the world last year and a factory Ducati has taken him to the back of the grid. That combined with Capirossi's performance improving on a Suzuki and being immediately better than CV really is making people realise the Ducati is one of the weaker bikes out there. More credit to Casey.

I think you could add a few more to that list: Rossi, Hayden, Melandri, etc. etc. anybody without the name S-T-O-N-E-R.

no buddy. talentet riders are pedrosa, hornhey, rossi and stoner. i say RDP would be a top rider if given the machinery.

the rest of them are 2nd tier riders who are way over-rated, especialy hayden who has only won 3 races in 6 years. thats 1 race every 2 years for a werks back rider with the best brains, bike, and $$$ to go with it. and everyone says hes great rider and lick his ... like no tomorrow.

.... someone like rossi and stoner has won more races than hayden in a month.

How can you rate Hayden as a 2nd tier rider ? Hayden may not of won shed loads of races but he still won the world championship ? That means he aint 2nd tier ! He went out week after week trying hard to win, maybe not always there, but always scoring points and not crashing.
How can you call Hayden 2nd tier ! Pinky your full of .... !!!!!!!!!!!
World Champion= Winner

I once found a stick that was dumber than pinky......and, amazingly enough, it knew a stone that knew more about bike racing than him.....actually, Ive met lots of stones with more knowledge than that.

RDP would be a top rider given the machinery. Unfortunately for him he'd pitch the damn thing away so many times he'd bankrupt whatever factory he was riding for.

Hayden's record actually stands at three wins in five years and two races. And I doubt Rossi and Stoner have won more races in one month than Hayden has in his GP career. Name one month where four races occur. Best of luck. If you want to get nit-picky then do it right, squid.

I'm sorry, I really am. I generally dislike trolls but I've been away for so long and I have so much enthusiasm that I haven't seen in more than a year. I can't sit idly by and watch some know-nothing clown run his mouth.

That's talent!

Not to take anyway away from Melandri's tallent but I suspect that stunt is a lot easier than it looks like. The wet tires spin up quite easy and as long as you have power and rpm enough to keep it spinnin and penty of asphalt it's shouldn't be that hard (considering your job is to ride those bikes as far out on the edge as possible)

Ditto .......

I still think thats his best race ever ..... and one of the best races ever really .....

but then again I watch for the individual ride ...... and that was a beauty!

and hopefully he can get to that stage again ..
