<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Austin @ Apr 1 2008, 05:44 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Hayden's record actually stands at three wins in five years and two races. And I doubt Rossi and Stoner have won more races in one month than Hayden has in his GP career. Name one month where four races occur. Best of luck. If you want to get nit-picky then do it right, squid.
Just to nitpick, Stoner and Rossi split 4 races last June and Rossi won 3/4 races in Oct. 2004 (Sete won the 4th).

Just sayin'.

Hayden may not of won shed loads of races but he still won the world championship ? That means he aint 2nd tier ! He went out week after week trying hard to win, maybe not always there, but always scoring points and not crashing.
How can you call Hayden 2nd tier ! Pinky your full of .... !!!!!!!!!!!
World Champion= Winner

so hes as good as rossi and horhey?

answer NO, so hes not a top tier rider is he.

3 wins in 5.20 years in not good enough on a HRC ride

Seems to be a guy just doing the "overenthusiastic fan" thing ...... and theres a few on here
<

I know he states the bleeding obvious, or whats on folks minds at times, and its not what some want to hear, but meh ....... all the back banter gets a bit "kiddy" at times ....... the guy metions blow up dolls and we have 10 experts at blow up dolls come out of the woodwork, the guy posts a pick of his screen and someone even notices ( and identifies
<
) some .... site in the background. and we then have page after page written about it ...... ad nauseum ..... and some guy can't even mention Pinky without every post to him mentioning .... site ........ I know who seems obsessed .....

Pinky may be dumb ...

but who's dumber? ....

Get over him.
<

^Dumb and dumber.^

Only a fool would defend a fool. When you get on here and post idiotic statements, then are dumb enough to post a screen shot with your favorite .... site, keep in mind he did it to troll (or did you forget the purpose of the screenshot in the first place)... Well let me remind you, it was a screen shot to jock his beloved rider, and slag a popular one, but oops, his beloved .... site popped up too. THAT IS WHAT THE UNIVERSE CALLS—POETIC JUSTICE!!!

This is a far cry from the "over enthusiastic fan thing". Either way, it doesn't bother me, I love the banter; I've said it before, everybody has a right to their opinion, even the dumb ones. Apparently, its bothering you though (getting all sensitive for your kindred spirit perhaps) uhmmmm, I wonder why? (Rhetorical, I already know the answer). If you’re going to throw rocks, you best not live in a glass house.

Anyway, back on topic. Melandri is a good rider, as much as Hayden. Both have had performance issues and difficulties getting along with their equipment since the changes. Similar to Stoner in a way, but in reverse. Stoner previously sucked then got brilliant (only change was equipment); Hayden/Melandri were top contenders but are sucking at the moment (only change was equipment). One could say neither of the three (that includes Stoner) adapted to bikes that did NOT suit them: Stoner on 990s, Hayden on 800s, Melandri on Ducati 800s. Despite you TWO trying to tell us ONLY Stoner walks on water, this does NOT reflect his history while on 990s. Lucky for him, it didn’t go 800 to 990s. Because then, all the kings men, would not be able to put those Ducatis back together again. You boys may want to stick to riding Stoner’s jock, that’s what you boys do best, rather than spending so much time slagging other riders.

3 wins in 5.20 years OH and 1 world title ! forgot that.
Silly me, back to clubman racing Hayden.

stoner was front/front-mid pack on the LCR, when there are 10 factory riders not a bad job. oh and on debut season.

fact is he is not a consistant race winner.

Rubbish. Stoner was a second Tier rider in 2006 without any doubt. He was 8th in the world title with half the points of Hayden, over 100 behind Marco (the man you slate) and just three more than Elias (with equal equipment). Considering that you must be able to appreciate how a rider can struggle with equipment they are not suited to.

Have a look at the world standings... Melandri is not the last factory rider, there's someone who's 2 places behind him!
<

Probably Melandri's (predictable) problems attract more attention just because he's the teammate of the World Champ?

Dead right! ...... unfortunately Marco was seen late last year as another measure by which we could judge Stoners " real" performance ...... the culture of "fairytales" had left us so confused that still some were saying the most ridiculous thigs about a guy who had a season that was equal to the alltime best!! .....

So all eyes were on Marco .... probably at a time when he did not need it ..... perhaps Ducati are aware of that too as they seem to be extrememly "understanding" of his plight this year ....

And someone else 3 places back, if you count Kawasaki as factory.

Yep. So one might even say that only one out of three Aussies present in MotoGP, all of them on works bikes, is doing (a lot) better than poor Melandri at the moment...
<
I'm sure this twist of statistics would be small consolation for him though...
