John McGuinness is set to return to the event which left him with career threatening injuries to his leg and back. He may only compete in the smaller capacity races though dependent on his fitness levels next May.
Be interesting to see him return, John generally blows hot and cold at the North West anyway, he's won races there but he just uses it as a prep race for the TT. Part of me does wonder though whether he's staying away from the Fireblade due to what happened last year and I for one would not blame him, that machine could have cost us two of road racings biggest names last year.
I don't know about his contract situation but John usually does his one year at a time, I'd love to see him give the TT a go on a BMW though.
