Another one?

He tried a risky move and didn't hit RLH at Laguna...or have I missed something?

The (......) announcers said it looked like his rear brake went out and he couldn't slow down.
That better be the case because that was one of the most irresponsible moves I have ever seen.
If his bike had T boned Tommy or anyone else that could have been a lot worse.
It was almost identical to what happened in the corkscrew last year except he got hurt this time.
Team owner of EMGO is John Ulrich of RoadRacing World, who is a big proponet of track safety.
If you're a subscriber to RRW (I am) than I would urge you to write an E mail expressing you're displeasure as to what type of rider he sponsors

My worry at the mo is that .... like this comes in threes.... Roger is in hospital right now from a crash last week...he lost his left pinky..broke his back in 3 places..and his pelvis in 3 places (GET WELL SOON ROGER)...no Tommy is in Hospital....and Nick races this weekend....fingers crossed...

yeah i havnt heard how Tommy is doing...but Roger is ...... up...another surgery today....
Nick will be OK, maybe his crash in Estoril was the 1 in the 3....

From what i've read, Martin went down in a first lap crash and Tommy was positioned unfortunately. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Its a shame when riders get hurt but lets not act like Cardenas is some kind of Assassin.

Tom watch the video before you take sides on this one.
Like I said if he rear brake was not broken he was carrying about 20 mph more speed going into the inside of a corner with a pack of riders on the outside. If that's not a mechanical malfunction it's a move that could end careers.
He's dangerous and irresponsible.

He's not an assassin, just an a$$, who is a ...... racer.

i don't know if it was ALL his fault...i saw and recorded the race....it looks like the throttle was stuck wide open...you can see him trying to stop, but the back tire was smoking from spinning....he purposely chunked it in the dirt to avoid causing a massive pile up....Tommy was unlucky.

A video would be even better, if you know where to get one that'd be great.

LINK (worse than first reported)

MARTIN CARDENAS IS A TOTAL RECKLESS OUT OF CONTROL ...-HOLE.

That wasn't a mechanical failure, it was a brain failure, it was so outrageous that the commentator had no choice but to try and reason that it might be a bike problem to try and make sense of it. Even if reports come out and blame the bike, it will be nothing more than a way to save face and burry the fact that this guy is at fault (they will protect him with lies). I won't believe them, safe the reports for the sucker, like Tom and the rest. I'm sure they will come out with 'his brakes failed', but i know it was just his 'brain failed'. Cardenas almost took out a Kawasaki rider at Barber (not sure if it was Rapp or Hacking) just in the previous round (see the tape). He cut across the front and the Kawasaki rider had to evade and go off line. This is the MO of Cardenas, its not like we haven’t seen and noticed his 'riding style' before (if that's what we call recklessness). A leopard can’t change his spots. Yes, he "almost" took out Roger Lee at Laguna, and that would have cost him the title (no less), but lucky for Roger, he is an experienced racer and was able to evade and correct enough to stay in the race. (Phleg, you don't need to be t-boned off the track for you to surmise that it was a reckless move). If somebody runs a red light and nearly ..... you up, ar you gonna say, well that wasn't so bad? ...., even when a rider is in fact ...... over by a reckless rider, its still chalked up to "just racing" anyway, so why even the suggestion?

Please, as if 'video' would convince people like Tom. .... there is plenty of video of Checa/Max N., Roger Lee/Cardenas Laguna, & Nicky/Pedrosa Portugal,---but no amount of "video" will convince these people that riders are reckless and unprofessional, and disregard the safety of others. You might as well post a Disney video, because these people live in fantasyland.

Its as simple as Cardenas being an arrogant, selfish, out of control ....... who thinks he as more ability than he actually has, but still nothing is done about it. He went in extremely too hot, thinking he could gain some advantage at the beginning of the race, and as his typical riding pattern, he was wrong and others paid the consequences for such disregard for the laws of physics.

.... him and anybody who defends him!

I must correct myself in my original post. He did not take Roger out(although it was not for lack of trying). That said I watched the race again and at the restart "Fast" Freddie Spencer, known for giving riders the benefit of the doubt, even concluded that Martin "the f%cking tosser" Cardenas went in waaaaaaayyyyyyyy too hot. This guy is bush league all the way. I understand wanting to win a race, that's why they are there after all. Winning by being aggressive is perfectly acceptable as well. winning by being dangerous is completely unacceptable. Before someone says he made a mistake let me counter that by saying if he can make such a colossal mistake then maybe he should be doing something else. Thank you Martin, for ruining a promising season.

Freddy is a class guy. Unlike the Neanderthal that is Gregg White. Did anybody happen to catch when Elementary-Vocabulary-Gregg mentioned Roger Lee's injuries and downplayed that it was just a pinky injury and said he's just fine, then Freddy steps in, even still trying not make Gregg look like an ... in the booth, and says, well I don't think it he’s all that fine, lets not forget Roger has a broken pelvis, broken lumbar (back), etc. Maybe its that Speed have a fetish with dumb car shows that they don’t mind an unarticulated ...... to share the booth with Spencer; maybe they are trying to cater to that fan base by dumping it down.

Ogunski, I would not characterize Carden-... as "bush league" more like "bombs-away league". This guy does not belong on the racetrack. Perhaps the nearest he should be on a track is cleaning the toilets (and using non-toxic chemicals at that).

Thanks for the link Jumkie. I had no idea Tommy was that hurt.
I was going to e mail them but I am now making it my mission to e mail, call and fax them as much as possible.

I want to see a video because a picture usually tells a thousand words, much like your posts.

Tommy Hayden happens to be 5 minutes from my house. Hes at Queen of the Valley hospital in West Covina, CA.

...-wipe-Martin Cardenas broke his femur, so he's also hurt. As much as I'm pissed at him, I hope both heal up soon, and most of all, I hope Carden-... begins to reflect on his riding ability and recklessness and makes some serious changes. I'd like to see his handlers give him some direction, but I doubt they have or would since it was his lack of professionalism and consideration got these riders in this mess.

How am I suppose to make a judgment on a crash I haven't seen?

I would take your word for it, but you seem the rabid Cardenas-hater around here, so I'd take a video's word above yours.
