Rider hating is not a problem. And neither being just a fanboy. But not recognizing your idol was wrong is a problem. The reality is Rossi got away with something no other rider would have, all for fear of ratings dropping. Can't have that on any sport. He should have been black-flagged immediately. Or disqualified completely after the race. He could have an explanation of his behaviour, but no justification. Just like nobody should get away with murder either, regardless of motive. Having said that, Rossi started when crashing Marquez the first time, pretending he didn't see him. Marquez racing him hard should be equally acceptable then. But Rossi let his true self shine through when kicking him, and nobody could even call it that. But just just forcing a rider to run wide (without a kick) is a disqualification offense. And not having done that, things were going to go downhill from there... and they did. Rossi was used to always be untouchable, and when things didn't go his way (as always), he sowed us who he really is. And it wasn't pretty for me. Bottom line is NOBODY should be above the law, ratings be damned.
Hopefully both riders will cool off during the off season, and offer a great 2016 season.

It is reminiscent for me of the Rossi/MM brouhaha; the real problem for Rossi was that MM was much faster than him by the end of the season and appeared to have finally learnt not to take himself out. Insulting someone who can easily brush you aside in advance of them offering you any offence is an interesting tactic, but I fear no more likely to be successful for you than it was for Valentino.

I have to say I have been truly impressed with Ginger Meggs this year and am fast becoming a fan of the guy...
He rarely speaks ill of other riders (except for Rossi who he rightly condemned for the Sepang incident), has been fast and consistent all year and has shown true grit and bravery riding with that horriffic hand injury and placing 9th in the Italian GP...

I was completely wrong about that and I am not ashamed to admit it....I wish him much success in the future.

Thanks fer pulling my coat mate. Just an expression I heard years ago in some Aussie film. Had taken it to be rustic slang; like throw another shrimp on the "barbie".
Just goes to show, we never say "shrimp" actually, we say "prawn". As in: don't come the raw prawn with me mate...
When I was a kid we used to drag for them with a bait net (or a cast net if you had the skills). When the moon and tide was right and the "prawns were running" you could do pretty good like that. Then we would put them in a old petrol drum full of sea water and boil them up on a fire on the beach or back at the beach hut. Commercial fishing has pretty much killed that now though.
