I have it on good authority from somebody inside Yamaha that Lorenzo has signed (somewhere) and things are about to kick off. I don't know where or when the announcement will be made, but you heard it here first!

But if it is true, and that aren't announcing right away I would say not yamaha. But yea.
 
A friend of mine works at Yamaha here in Japan. He said he got a company e-mail this morning saying effectively that Lorenzo has signed.

Just checked his twitter and no word of it there, do they keep these things secret. I also had no clue his fan club called themselves spartans and dressed up like that lmao if he starts winning championships will see PSers dressed like spartans
 
I have it on good authority that Chopper will post tomorrow. I dont know when or where he will post. It could be in the lounge or it could be in GP chat. Theres even a possibillity it could be in the Birthday thread.

All I know is that I dont know and thought it was important that you know nothing as well

Can't see any reason why Lorenzo would not sign now. He has had plenty time to consider alternatives, loves the handling of the Yamaha, sees himself being champion again (if not in 2012 surely in 2013) and has had no offers from Honda. Yamaha doubtless is paying him handsomely and there being no better offers coming from elsewhere - there's no reason to drag out negotiations, no point in making threats to leave. Lorenzo can concentrate solely on winning. When it comes to the important stuff he seems pretty pragmatic. Makes sense.

Agreed...Plus recently the yamaha has been the strongest bike in the field
 
thx for the info phorest&mikeyg ,guess the silly season will be over quite soon.

just depends on what to do with the rookie rule,the rest will follow.

i think its safe to say that most likely it will be : yamaha : lorenzo + spies (or one of the tech3 guys) ; honda : pedro + bradl or marquez(who will be on top factory machinery anyways,maybe its only pedro in the official repsol team but theres a new repsol/catalunya caixa "satellite" team now that the banks are fluid once more) ; ducati : rossi + hayden
 
99% sure he'll stay at ducati if they stay in gp. where should he go?honda has already too many riders lining up for their 4 bikes,same goes for yamaha. the only thing that i can imagine is that if yamaha and tech3 have too much money on their hands (i doubt it) , tech3 will let smith ride a crt and spies/rossi exchange seats.
