Lorenzo feels he's out of contention

For me this is about keeping his feet on the ground. He is reminding his fans and the press to judge him in context of his rookie status and learning aims, not as an equal to those he is often riding with. He probably needs to remind himself to do the same thing, but i'd imagine he'll have sights for the world title until he is mathematically out of the running.
 
Looked even more painful today too, his injuries are getting worse every weekend and he just can't stay on the bike. They were saying on eurosport he's been advised to change his style, would that work for George do ya think?

what is there to lose if he tries?
 
Well, he's not too far back in the title race so maybe a lot to lose... in terms of crashing it could help, but why change your style when you've won 2 world titles using it?
