I say endless testing. hell thats why the riders make the big $$$. besides it would be colin and nicky doing it for the team sake. then nicky could give dani some bum info just to screw him up. paybacks a ..... ain't it. the factorys spend alot of $$$$$$$$$$ to build these 1 of a kind bikes and they need alot of testing to get them right for racing. I bet rossi would not mind cause he really loves his job and to ride the balls of everything all the time. maybe just limit it to 1 or 2 places stragiectly located to them. I bet rossi sleeps with his M-1 yamaha gave him. hell I would.
Is this also to increase safety like the switch to 800's was? Because it seems to me that having less tests will mean bikes that aren't as developed, which would be more dangerous....... good luck with that
I think this is probably a good diea, and i'm sure many riders and teams also think it is too. However there are going to be riders and teams who would like the full testing sessions to get their bike up to standard and for the riders to become fully comfortable with it.
well if this test thing happens there's a way round it. instead of the usual 3 day stint they could do the whole week 5 or 6 day test.

That's Dorna's way of saying, "we're sorry we had you spend all that money developing the 990cc engines, only to change it to 800 cc in a few years. Did we tell you our paramount concern is safety? We know these are the races, but we'd like to slow things down a little bit. Wait a minute! These friggin 800 bikes are already lapping faster than the 990cc bikes."
If it means more races then its not a bad idea. It seems pretty obvious theyre working towards a 20 race calendar.
