So we are splitting predictions with practice qual now? Ok

Did anybody see the press conference? Some good stuff. Everybody interested peeps opinions about ".......".

Edwards is a sound bite machine, but I think Lorenzo had the best quip of the conference, "It must feel a shame to be beaten by kids every race." ouch.

(btw, can somebody tell me who the ........ sounded guy is who asked Lorenzo and Dani a question about chassis? Can somebody ban that .... from asking questions?)

haha @ lorenzo. how much do you want to bet that Rossi has commited that one to memory and if, (big if) he beats lorenzo, he will bring up "how does it feel to be beaten by an old man?"

Cal the second yam on a rookie track

Those 4 Hondas up there are becoming a familiar sight on all tracks -- so much for those who insist that Honda is not the best bike, by miles, this year.

This used to be a Yamaha track -- but J-Lo is just 3 tenths faster than Rossi. It would be almost good news for Rossi, if Lorenzo was as usual first or second... But he's 5th.

It is true that Jorge seems to take a gradual approach to race weekends this year and he is almost sure to fight for the pole on Saturday and for victory on Sunday. Still... It's 4 Hondas in front. And Spies is further back.

There are people out there who think there's something better than the 2011 RC212V?

Stoner's already broken the track record this a.m. and it's only FP1.

I'm not aware that anyone made that contention, everyone as far as I'm aware acknowledges the fact that the Honda is the overall best package this year - although there was nothing wrong with that Ducati when Stoner left it

You're right, this did used to be a Yamaha circuit, and Max used to love it on the old YZR500. The trraditionally different characteristics between manufacturers are being redefined. I still believe that the Yam is the most nimble bike out there though.

Rossi into the 34's

edit

Now, Nicky into the 34's.

Imagine a year ago. "You're into the 34's!" "So?" shakes head

hayden eeked out the 4th spot for Ducati where did that come from? Im likeing J-Lo in 5th would make for a good championship run blow up. The ducati's are sure packed deep in the back of the field, ouch.

Didn't surprise me much. Nicky was looking good on the video coverage for a few laps before . More to come from rossi then one suspects also.
