Audi better enjoy their lobbied advantage because they have to return to the American Le Mans Series soon. IMSA stood their ground and refused to apply the smaller restrictors to the LMP2 cars this year. Acura and Porsche are giving the glorified transit bus hell. The next ALMS race is at Lime Rock Park, a short, twisty momentum track. Provided the LMP2s find some way to keep Audi at bay on the start, they could run away with it.
The ALMS prototype race is a good one. 3 factory Acuras, 2 factory Porsches, 2 private Porsches, and 2 factory Audis are in contention for the overall win. Eat your heart out Tom!
