Sack Wacks claim to fame, living in Lagunas back lawn and never having the decency of making it out to a race.

On my way to work this morning, my local NPR affiliate did a piece on Ex-pat Brits living in LA. Turns out we have a quarter of a million Brits living here just in LA county. Jesus thats a lot of peeps i've never seen. Anyway, theyre doing a piece cuz Union Jacks are popping up for the Olympic opening ceremonies. So they interviewed a few local Brits. Funny ...., almost all to a man said they came here fir the weather. Also said they were escaping the 'doom & gloom' of the UK. There is a meeting once a month where they all get together for drinks at a pub called "the village .....". Im gonna find out where it is and show up with a St Georgie Cross flag caped around my back. Im sure they'll think im Indian. Anyway, 250,000 ....... Brits in my hometown and all i care about is traveling the 7000miles to see the only ones i care about. Haha.

Isn't the flag only called the Union Jack when it's being flown from a British ship? Otherwise it's known as the Union flag? Brits, help me out here.

Funny post nonetheless Jum's.

I don't know about the Union Jack/flag thing. I doubt my Brits friends will know either since it was them that had me holding the thing upside down on my last visit.

Btw, they interviewed Brits for that "news" piece, and they asked one dude about their chances at UK gold medalist for Olympics. Dude without hesitation says, 'the problem with the events is that they don't suit British strengths, if they had an even of complaining about the country going to ...., they'd win gold every time.' hahaha, dude had me rolling. At the end of the piece they mentioned a list of local Brit watering holes, one was called 'The Bulls ....' or 'The .... and Bull' or something like that.

I'm sure my buddy Cali Kid knows of it as he frequents these places at 5:00AM to go see British Premiere League soccer...that or he is just looking for some .... in the morning.

EDIT: hahaha found it. Its called the .... N Bull. ....... place not only is a Brit pub but also offers "salsa dancing" classes WTF? It like Brits meet Hispanics. Only thing is, they have a small beer menu (the Yard House restaurant I took Rog to had more choices). Only a few actual Brit beers, the rest from Europe and other places. Two Mexican beers on tap, one of them is .... Corona, no Tecate, WTF. The pictures (see gallery) of the patrons are funny though, totally Brit looking chicks (if you know what I mean, with obviously a few local girls, btw, the ....... in the black jerseys are Pittsburg Steelers fans, NFL team, don't know what they are doing there, but apparently the owner is a fan of the team I guess) . http://www.cocknbullbritishpub.com/

I reckon at least half of those are probably in Santa Monica

That looks a pretty cool boozer. First pic was John Lydon there haha.

Makes sense, Santa Monica is full of ......s!

My pub is called "the fox and hounds" In studio city

Stop your lying, youre not fooling anybody. Did they change the name from the "fox & hound" (steady Barry) from its previous name, 'the blue oyster'?

Btw, true, Santa Monica peeps are a bunch of freaks. Went there two weeks ago, Jesus H Christ never seen more social outcasts in my life.

I'll be down all three days for sure.

Camping out in my truck. Got pushed out the last minute by someone's wife who decided to go at the last minute.

Heisman I see you like Alcohol, I like you already. I hope you like Tequila

Tequila...isn't my preferred, but I can handle it.

Gin and Whiskey are usually my faves.

Lookin forward to the debauchery this weekend!

Spoke to Heismen and Truent today. Turns out Truent will be my neighbor, crazy ..... And Heismen will be camping with us. I also got a call today by another member who will remain nameless. He said hes 70/30 on showing up in a surprise visit.

I titled this thread Laguna Seca "Ghost Town" as it looked like it would be just three of us meeting up (CK, me, and a buddy). Now its looking like a proper Powerslide style meet up. Honestly, last year's mother of all meet up/party/extravaganza ruined all future meet ups! But hey, we can always shoot for 2nd or 3rd best. Hell, Dani Pedrosa has been doing that for years, and he still number #1 in Alberto Puig's ......... book (though in his defense, at least he limits his sexual escapades to human, well, very small humans. But thats still better than small dogs and other primates..)
