Did you notice that my "backtrack"/" back-in"was done by not using the back brake/back pedal ...... ie. I could have said "wha!!! I never said that" as some posters would do ....... but no I added more throttle to hopefully get the front back in the right direction
Edit ..... I see Jumkie spotted it:
throw more wood on the fire to put it out I say!!
If the captain of the Titanic had used the same technique ( slam it into Full speed ahead and throw the back/stern sideways! ) we would never even know of or remember the Titanic!!

So when I called Roger to ask him what he wanted to do on his trip to the US, I said, we can do anything, Disneyland, Hollywood, Universal Studios, etc. He is reply, he my sons want to go shooting guns because we don't have those in the UK. So I tell CaliKid, who brought an arsenal of guns, riffles, shotguns, and ..... I'm surprised he didn't bring an RPG, which I wouldn't doubt he thought of bringing. Even I was impressed, and I've seen a lot of guns. I was thinking of taking Rog and fam to a simple pistol range, but CK decided he wanted to go to a private range and fire off half a grand of bullets.

Why r u sorry to put this vid up? .... & ..., thats a great thing! No thats not CK. Son, on of my regrets is not sharing this race with an Aussie. U or Friz, Gaz, Mick, etc., needs to make it out dude. ...., i'd even host Talps. Thers no room for hate when ur at the track. Only peace and love.

No joke! I was wearing SPF 50 and still got fried. My lips are totally split open from sun poisoning.
When I woke up and looked in the mirror the morning we got back to Jum's it looked like I'd had
multiple courses of collagen injections.

Not sure where to start with this whole trip really. In one way, the party sort of started at Silverstone. Keshav has been doing a great job of keeping you guys informed of the fun and festivities. My account may be a little less structured as I think bits of Laguna will keep appearing through the drunken haze over the next 12 months
Firstly, I just want to say thank you to Jum. Its difficult for me to actually tell the guy how much I appreciate all he did for me in making this trip possible. His only thoughts for the whole time I was in the US was other people's happiness. Numerous times I said to Jum " People are just happy to be here. Everyone is having a great time. Stop worrying about them ". He still worried.
Jum is generous to a fault, caring and just great fun to be with, whether its at a race track or just chilling out. Since Silverstone he has become one of my very closest friends and I look forward to repaying the compliment to Jum and his family ( His wife also made me more welcome in their home than I could have ever hoped for ). THE GUY IS A LEGEND
Secondly, props go out to Cali Kid. I had never met CK before and he kindly collected me from LAX. I was walking through the arrivals area thinking " I wonder if I will be able to find CK. Don't really know what he looks like "....Then out of the crowds appears this dude with a Lorenzo T-Shirt on and I thought " That's my man ".
CK is just a great guy who loves to have a REAL good time. I had chance to hang with him for a few days in between numerous trips to airports to collect incoming PS'ers. Poor old CK hauled some serious ... up and down the freeway thats for sure.
The same goes for Cali Kid, I would love to be able to repay him for all he did during the week and he is welcome at mine whenever for for as long as he wants. THIS DUDE LOVES TO PARTY

Still in a haze of jet-lag and not yet feeling fully competent to offer full props for what was an extravagant display of generosity. That said - Cali Kid's contribution to preparation and execution of this shindig should, and cannot not be overlooked. He quietly did so much to make this happen.
Including letting me homestead at his lovely crib in Pasadena.
And the Powerslide ladies - about whom so little is mentioned - were and are, a fabulous bunch. Having participated in every aspect of the weekend, earning sweat equity equal to any of the guys - they all managed to look delicious and even managed a few lap dances.
Can't wait for Will to post some of the videos!
