A person I know on another forum made quite an interesting comment about the KRJR new chassis that i'd like to share and see some opinion on...

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>i think honda is using roberts jr bike as a testbed for new chassis designs for the 800. something with an adjustable front end perhaps???

That wouldn't surprise me. I know there is a clause in the contract that allows product development between Honda and KR so that very well could be. I know Jake Zemke's CBR1kRR has a swingarm developed from the KR machine.

Maybe for testing different component parts of the chassis, swingarm most likely but I think it's not possible. The two frames are fundamentally different in that the air is routed to the airbox directly through the steering head on the KR chassis a la SP-1, whereas on the RCV the air ducts pass either side of the steering head. I have heard that Honda are very interested in what KR are doing from a chassis point of view, so could be another indication of Hondas plans for 2007.

More like HRC realized Kenny built somthing good and theyre trying to steal it

did anyone who watched the BBc coverage see the tour of the KR factory today? interesting stuff!! seeing a block of solid metal turned into a bike component was pretty cool and i'm not normslly a tech head!

Anyone know if you can tour their Banbury facility? If it's possible I'm definitely going to try to get there for a day this fall.
