No problem. I just thought Johnny was not exactly being an ....... in this discussion, merely arguing from a different perspective. Of course, I'd have to think that, I largely share his view in this particular debate, and like to think that, allthough undeniably as biased as the next guy, I don't suffer much from self-hatred and low self esteem.

If I thought there was any integrity or credence to his point of view I'd be happy to debate it in a polite judicious manner. But I've seen too much of his unprovoked, scattershot hate-filed nonsense here on PS to think that there's any rational thinking behind his statements. He reminds me of the guys you see standing on corners in Times Square bellowing at the public about some religion they founded the week before. JK has gone out his way to elect himself Powerslide's high priest of unfounded nonsense.

I may be dead wrong or I may be dead right. If it is the former then I would have no problems admitting so, but at this moment saying I am dead wrong is just an opinion.

Anyone who has been involved with lawyers and the legal system knows is a convoluted and complex endeavor. What may seem legal and just may not be when the law is applied to it. Us that are not legally educated can only form an opinion, because we do not know or can begin to understand the legalities

This is my whole point. On paper it may seem that Kevin is in the right but if he did not due his due diligence and properly followed the correct legal steps then Cota has itself a case.

I at the moment do not feel that COTA is the big bad wolf taking advantage of hapless victims. It is possible that Kevin is making his case to the public to (as you say) manipulate the popular opinion to himself because he knows that he was the one in the wrong.

This is - thank you - a more reasonable response. I'm not arguing legalities here. This is not the issue at hand. Yes - it's all opinions. I have stated clearly how and why I have formed my opinions. Please for the record - state how you have arrived at your totally negative opinion on Schwantz.


Remember - Schwantz is not a lawyer either. Were it to end up that he'd not dotted an "i" or crossed a "t" in the course of contract


negotiations - that would not undermine the ethical concerns as regards to COTA's responsibility to pay the agreed up remuneration.


 


Sorry to hear about the ..... part. Still.... it didn't stop Napoleon from conquering the better part of Europe. The problem was, he didn't know when to call it a day.

Hey, it's not my place to play the powerslide-proper-debating-policeman. For myself, I try to debate the points that people raise, rather than ruling their opinions and arguments invalid because of perceived character flaws. I sometimes fail at this, but then again, I'm only human. Like most others on powerslide.
 
I had a dry mouth this morning. I call it going out in sympathy with the Austin crew. 


 


I still maintain that oxy/endone/rum/beer gives the best poetry. 


 


If you secretly think I'm an ....., that's fine, every time I do it I think I'm and ..... as well...the next day.

debates of moral and legal culpability are always great fun. The rule of thumb for professionals is that if elements exist to make it legal (eg the elements of a contract - offer acceptance terms capacity legality intent bla bla bla bla bla) then it can only be a moral argument when you've won or lost and damages and costs are being awarded. aaaaaaaaa the poem is still coming out...can't...stop....it...
