No but you must be
The first thing any lawyer worth a .... will do is tell his client to keep their mouth shut. When your dealing with legal issues any action or statement by the plantiff or the defendant can swing the case.
You must have tumbled down the rabbit hole if you think these million dollar companies are ever shamed into doing the right thing. The right thing to them is money, money and more money.
Why are you always such a righteous .... whenever someone wants to debate you
Firstly - I do run a business, have done for 20 years, a successful business. Regardless this a straw man argument. This case has nothing to do with good or bad management. It has to do with dishonest management that have not honored their contractual agreement
with Schwantz. In the end it will all come out in court. Schwantz is not some hillbilly who went into this agreeing to
do all that work, based on a smile and a handshake. In the end I believe he will be vindicated.
One does not need to be a lawyer to have an opinion. One need only pay attention to what is happening in the world
and try to parse out the ........ from the facts as best they can. In the end it's still an opinion, but hopefully, an informed one.
Always when you know you're dead wrong - you are mendacious and put up a pretense of being more obtuse than you really are.
Why pray tell do you think whistle blowers go to NY Times when they uncover wrong-doing? They do it create public awareness.
Public awareness in David vs Goliath cases greatly sways the decisions of judges and juries that prosecute cases and award
settlements. You watch too many episodes of bad cop shows. Lawyers only tell their clients to shut up - when the client is guilty
and they don't want them to further incriminate themselves with the cops. It's not Schwantz who is being prosecuted. Do you
thing Exxon would have been taken down as successfully - had the public not been fully aware of their crimes? Public awareness
is totally relevant. Remember, judges are elected -
by the public. Schwantz is a real hero in Texas but he's going up against
a corporation that is worth billions - and needs all the support he can gain, if he wants to get a fair trial.
If standing up to ridiculous, misanthropic people who slander and vilify one of the good guys makes me "righteous, then fine.
Righteous is not bad. Nothing wrong with that. I'll take it.
