Jerez GP sneaking up this weekend

MM is learning a lesson today and the rest of field will not be phased by him having taken himself out

Didn’t look like he did much wrong in the second crash. I’m sure the rest of the grid won’t be bothered that after running off and being last Marquez was able to pick them off one by one And get back into a podium position.

I don’t know how much more his shoulder can take. 7th/9th title not a given this year or in the future.

Even if the injuries not as bad as it looks at first, 0 points in any race could be the difference for any rider fighting for the title.

Yeah he looked to be hurt holding that R arm.

My lord I have seen him do things on a bike nobody else can do.
I sure hope he is ok.
I want him to be ok for his sake, but selfishly I want to see more.

The coverage of that race was infuriating, the cameras keep going to Marquez instead of watching the front of the race, absolute joke should change the name to MarcGP instead of MotoGP, pathetic Marc love fest.

Sure, I agree he wasn’t trying anything particularly audacious just then.

Great composed ride by FQ though, who I think was always going to win, so MM might as well have taken his time to pass MV. Second time MM has gone down in to the detriment of his shoulder perhaps trying to prove something to FQ, whom perhaps like everyone else he may see as the coming thing.

yeah watching Fabio five seconds ahead would have been much more interesting

Good job by Fabio! Glad he finally got a win.

Marquez was putting on a show and bringing all the drama... unfortunately he asked too much of the bike/tires at the start trying to break away from the pack and again at the end trying to maximize his heroics by getting back on the podium. Hopefully he's okay, but wouldn't surprise me if something's broken.

Agreed, he then definitely asked too much of the soft rear in his desperation to get up to the podium ...

Hopefully nothing broken ...

Don't see it as maximising heroics.
He is super competitive and wants to win.
He'll do anything he can to finish as high as possible.
Hope he's ok but he was holding the r arm.

Exactly. Was going to say the same, FQ deserved all the praise in the world for his ride but watching the reigning world champion carve his way from last to the podium was hardly a perverse choice.

That was a massive off. He couldn't move his arm at all. I don't think he will be racing for a while. I hope I'm wrong. That race encapsulates everything that is Marc Marquez. Awesome.

He definitely wanted to finish as high as possible even if it meant not finishing at all. He was starting to get loose a couple corners before his highside so it’s not like he didn’t have warning he was on the limit. He wanted to maximize his comeback and rub it in his opponent’s faces. Great talent, still has lessons to learn though... painful lessons.

I do wonder whether he overdid things trying to prove something though, he had time to take second and wasn’t going to win, and perhaps does finally see someone he considers a real challenger in FQ. The last shoulder injury he was definitely trying to make a point with FQ imo. He is getting to an age when bounceability lessens, and has already given that shoulder a beating thus far in his career

He wanted points.
Yep there is the psychological factor of passing competitors after that save.
How many titles does he have?
It aint like he won them against nobodies.
I am in no position to suggest how much he has to learn.

Much more mature ride from Miller, still used up his tyres a bit to much but early last year he would have got spat out the back and finished 7-8, great job to hang on for 4th, bloody Dovi does it to him every time. Ducati still way down on corner speed and still costing them race wins I really hope they make a bigger jump in that next year with Jack on the Factory bike.

Haven’t seen a high side like that in a while, reminded me of the 500 days when there was at least one a week, the bike actually hit Marc after he first came down in the gravel and punted him on another good distance I suspect that was when he hurt his arm. Anyone remember the twin high sides from Doohan and Gardner I think it was, perfectly choreographed together now that was something.

Championship will be wide open if Marquez is out for an extended period, as much as I hate seeing someone get hurt it will be good for the championship.

It looked as though the initial heavy impact from his landing on the track was on his right shoulder. I think his tyres clipped the inside curb, causing the highside.
