Marco did have a couple of moments today!

Can he spring a suprise?

Great qualifying session! So much action at the end.

What sums it up is that with a couple of minutes left Hayden went 3rd and by the end of the session was 11th!

Very impressed by Checa on LCR bike 3rd place. He has been quick all weekend can he challenge for a podium?

Looks likely to be a close race between Valentino and Pedrosa.

COME ON VALENTINO!!!

what a fantastic quali! so close! the last 5 my eyes were burnin form all the red timming markers! i think the race will come down between rossi, pedrosa & stoner. surprisingly dani's had the least amount of race pace laps. rossi was running consistent low to mid 1.41s with edwards doing the most race pace laps with 14 i believe. but he'll probably do his customery race fade & finish 6th. checa has a good pace but can he finish? hopper has an excellent pace but at the end of the session his times slowed. i think he'll be struggling with pain toward the end & it will cost him. melandri has the pace as does elias. hayden seems to have the pace as well but a fourth row start is gonna kill him. same goes for roberts. but his pace is a bit off. nakano has the pace as well but to far down. but the race is the race & as last year showed anything is possible. it'll be a barn burner!!!

Yeah I'd say Rossi Pedrosa and Stoner too. What's up with Loris? Strange one that, the guy's lost his mojo. The Hondas and Yamahas seemed plenty quick, makes me think have they turned the wick up to get more speed since qatar and could that bring about fuel consumption issues? Possibly. I'd factor Melandri into the top five, he made a balls of the last int. split on his qualifiying lap but he's had good pace all weekend. I cannot wait, won't sleep a wink tonight, it'll be like christmas morning

Just watched the qualifying session on the vcr, and what a qualifying. I agree Ben, the new ruels are great.
The whole field are incredible close.
There is the obvious Pedrosa, Rossi, Stoner in front but I expect one or to more to mingle in a close fight.
Now i know what Rossis favorite turn is. It's the double righthander before the last hairpin turn. I haven't checked the time sheets but I think he was the fastest by some margine there, and thats where he will decide the race, or more exact, into the hairpin, building speed through those righthanders.

Pedrosa is helping me laugh all the way to the fantasy pool top of the pops!!

i think we'll have to cut loris some slack. i think he might be havin trouble concentrating with his wife gettin ready to pop out his 1st little mojo. a boy i do believe.

Could be, but his performance this year seems to be so off from last year that I suspect he has problems getting to terms with the new 800.

no doubt part of the problem.

I hope Loris does get back to last season's form (when not injured). It is strange for him to be midpack probably partly due to soon to be born child and new bikes i expect.

Also as he is in my fantasy team i need a good result from him!!!

Obviously i will be cheering on Valentino mainly in the race!

GO ROSSI!!!

Wow, what a fantastic qual session. To see the times so close together for so many riders on different machines just tells me this is going to be a great race and a fantastic year ahead for both fans and riders.

Bring it on.

In fact it is the closest top 10 qualifying ever.
