the answer to this is quite simple its yes. When Valentino joined the elite class in his first season he came a comfortable second. In the following season he won numerous tiles in a row on the Repsol ,he said it was far to easy if he had stayed there he would for sure won many more titles.I dont see Marquez doing this because he knows hes got the best bike he is a Repsol robot like pedrosa, who by the way has never done anything in Moto GP what is he doing on a moto gp bike.rossi is the GOAT no one gets more bums on seats than him. Also Rossi raced with some of the all time greats when there were more bikes more competition.Rossi is still racing at the top level at 39 years of age he is MOTO GP.

The answer to this is no.

He benefited from custom made tires and stopped winning titles when he lost that advantage. That doesn't even bring up the fraudulent 2002 campaign when he was given the RC211V and no one else was allowed to have it till later in the season. Barros started winning as soon as he got the bike. Makes you wonder what might have been had he not had to use a 2-stroke for half the season.

Talented racer yes, but doesn't come close to Eddie Lawson, Wayne Rainey, or Mike Hailwood.

Hi, I came to this forum to ask myself a question. Did you copy and past that answer straight off the Rossi fan club page? Is this the stock answer? Is this a Russian spam bot? I mean Rossi spam bot.

Apart from that his tyres were poor, his bike wasn't as fast, Toni Elias raced him too hard etc.

Doohan was my personal favourite, 5 straight titles with a practically useless leg and on bikes that were a lot harder to ride.

Yes. Absolutely.
JPS is just joking. He's pretty much Rossi's biggest fan, and so is everyone here.
We love Rossi so much we don't even mention it anymore because it's a moot point. We used to talk about it so much that i became a bit boring and people left the forum. Lol
So we are all super pumped that your Rossifuma like the rest of us,but for the sake of the forum we try to temper our enthusiasm and discuss all the riders in an equally positive light.
The moderator is quite strict with this policy and is prone to banning if you become too much of a fanboy. While that kind of sucks we do understand it is best for the health of the forum.
Cheers
Go Rossi!! lol lol

He is the greatest that ever will be.
Even the ..... ... ....... who put on a front here tinkle their winkle at night looking at his pictures.

Welcome to to forum goat64. An excellent first post, so good it gets two threads. I will most certainly ponder this conundrum of is He the greatest on my next visit to the throne room ie the outdoor dunnie.

In the meantime I would like to pose the question: who is the greatest sock puppet of all time on powerslide.

My personal favourite is/was geonerdlikesthis. It was very amusing when he liked a post.

Yet now a new contender emerges. The mighty sinn. A formidable sock that’s for sure. He/she/it nearly knocked me out for the count when I found myself in a deep abys, unable to avoid his/her/its mighty blows in my geriatric body with concrete boots on. Luckily for me I survived the encounter and me and sinn are now mates. He/she/it even provides me with free spell check and pronunsiation services as I endevar to become as great a wordsmith as the mighty Krop. Thanks siyyn. Be a pal and spell check this post bud, I got a date with Krop we going for a spin in my coupea.

If your out there like this post geonerd.

Thanks buddy, much appreciated.

Is that the rule in Texas or India, or both? Is that before the curry or after?

I’ve always found its better to stop before curry but run the red after. Failing to do so can become messy.

I thought that it was long ago decided that Stoner was the greatest we have ever seen. And since rossi has done nothing since Stoner, except get on a Ducati and prove Stoner is way better than rossi, its clear Stoner whoops rossi.

Marquez and Lorenzo are way greater than rossi.

Doohan, Rainey, Spencer, Lawson all better than rossi.

Zarco is looking greater than rossi.

The real question is whether Stoner or Marquez is the greatest.

rossi can really only be compared to Pedrosa. In the alltime greatness ladder hes about that level.

Even rossi declared Stoner the best.

Booring. Greatest rider to never amount to .....

1.Hopper
2.RDP
3.Ben Spies

Cal cruthlow doesn't even make my list. He is somewhere below Gobert.

Greatest yes if you ignore the nullification of the competition on bike, sns tyres etc.

For me it has to be Hailwood, here was a man who could win on a crap bike, unlike Rosey.

I think you will find it was decided a long time ago Troy Bayliss is the greatest Motogp rider ever
