Do you want the real world answer or the politically correct answer. The real answer is,Yes it would matter. The world has come as far as tolerating gays, not embracing them. The populace at large still feels it is wrong and immoral and sponsors would never sponsor an openly gay rider/driver in motorsports.Racing is a macho sport and gay and macho dont mix with the paying public. If Rossi announced he was gay,his fan base would shrink 90% overnight.

Are you sure that's the world at large's opinion? Or your own view?

i know that when i visited italy people put up the flag for an entirely different reason.
they meant it for world peace.

People are people no matter where you go and the world at large means a large majority. So yes im sure that a large majority of the people on this planet do not embrace homosexuality, they tolerate it.They still sacrafice them in certain cultures. They might live a trouble free life in certain nooks and crannys of the world in mega liberal societies, but on the whole that is not true. There are guys from all over the planet on this board, teel the truth, does your society embrace and accept homosexuality or do you tolerate it as long as it doesnt get in your way.

the latter...

the "president" of my ex country of residence was openly hostile to gays and was on the brink of declaring it a criminal offence and jailing people etc...and this was in the new millenium too!

but, something about gays just aint right....for me anyway, and i will stay straight thankyou verymuch.

as for AdA, who cares? hes not going to pop round my house and slip me one in my sleep anyway so who really gives a flying ....? as long as he races good and doesnt turn into scud mkII, he could be a transvestite for all i care...

I think I'd be the same. The female body is a work of art (and lets be honest, women are the superior ... too).

The male body, on the other hand, is like a meccano set stuck together with sellotape. I've no idea how girls find us attractive
