<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Red R6 07 @ Sep 14 2008, 10:07 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Regarding Spies doesn't everybody think he should be better than the other Suzuki riders? I mean his is the only rider there yesterday to have had dry track time. I would be surprised if he finishes ahead of CV in the race though. Additionally the rumour is there is no space in the inn for Spies next year.

Well, it depends. I never enjoyed riding in rainbut relized that it was a very good way to learn the track. You have so much more time and that enable you to look at the lines, track details and so on. When it finaly dries you find out that you have much of the track figured out through the rain practice. So i still think Spies did well in the qualifying session.

im reallly hoping for a dry race and a rossi or hayden victory, dunno whether Haydens tyre will last a race the way he is spinning it up everywhere-great to watch tho

here are the best times on race tyres: will man nothing if it rains, butthese are the fastest race tyre laps in dry conditions

stoner 1.42.659 Q2
elias 1.42.741 Q9
rossi 1.42.945 Q1
deangelis 1.42.981 Q12
hayden 1.43.026 Q4
vemulean 1.43.023 Q15

based on that i would expect Rossi to win from stoner then Hayden, but anything happens and things change cos this is racing!

anyone got a any news on the weather conditions and when the race is going to start?

I agree completely, however when it comes to racing setup makes a massive difference, wet setup is completely different to a dry setup. So Spies will have had a head start with his previous track time. CV will only of had an hour and 30 mins to try and find a dry setup, then it's on to try and qualify. I'm not taking anything away from Spies, he did qualify well and has proven he is good enough to race in this class. I just don't think beating his team mates proves that he's any better than them as some people have been suggesting. Just my 2p worth

Good job Spies! Qualifying better than the other Zooks is an accomplishment. His track experience is cancelled by their bike experience.

The race tomorrow might be quite entertaining if it's pouring down rain - how about Ant West from last to first?

Don'tcha just love motorcycle racing?

What is the big deal if it rains?

So the riders get wet, and times are slower, and we see riders true skills, and not a F1 style race....

I welcome the rain and I am in fact hoping it will rain!
