It's hard chroming that you need. There used to be a chap who used to advertise in mcn who did grinding and re hard chroming. Normal chrome's no good.

There used to be an electro-plating company near us, not sure if they do hard chroming though, I'll try and find out for ya.

They don't ! hard chroming and grinding is quite specialized as it has to be ground to the right size with little tolerance because of the fork seals.
