Not really - it's motorcycle racing.
Why don't you start an additional ten threads devoted to the subject?
1: Leading Rossi at the time.
2: (It pains me to say) leading Stoner at the time.
3: I agree both Lorenzo and Marquez being faster over the last 3 races influenced the championship, as riders being faster not uncommonly does.

I'm a diehard Rossi fan and even I am sick of this nonsense. Stuff happens in racing, and our favorites don't always win.
Why can't people move on and look forward to the possibilities of 2016? Should be an exciting year with the new tires, engine software, bikes, etc.
The bottom line is YES, I'm disappointed Rossi didn't win, but it has NO effect on my life whatsoever. I'm still living and breathing lol.

I'm not sure Lorenzo couldn't win if Rossi didn't break his ankle.
Lorenzo seemed faster than Rossi and even if Rossi didn't break his ankle my bet would still be on Lorenzo .
Moreover, incidents are part of racing, sometimes a rider might benefit from others falling sometimes you loose championship by losing (in 2013 Lorenzo lost one because of it..).
My impression is that in the last 6 years Lorenzo has been overall the fastest. He's not mentally extremely strong and he doesn't look as a fine strategist, but overall he has been consistently the fastest pilot on the circus.

Marquez was going to 'influence' the race one way or the other, so that doesn't count. That's exactly what happens when the points difference is so little on the last race.
