Hopkins in Hospital in Qatar

Bad news for suzuki: Hopkins had an accident in Qatar.

He crashed in third day of Qatar Testing Days and he damaged the Suzuki bike and was took to hospital where is suspected in foot and hand injuries.
 
Denning says he's certain Johnny will race on March 10, suspected broken bones in both hands. Very bad for my fantasy team

Damn, that sucks. Just goes to show you, nothing is guaranteed. I was really looking forward to see what he had this season, but I’m afraid he will be rehabbing an injury at least, and will be racing with health at best a few weeks into the season. Oh well, lets hope he recovers quickly.
 
Should be fit in time for the first race.

Remember Rossi raced with the exact same injuries and got an 8th and a 2nd.
 
Braking the same bone doesn't mean the same injury in every case. In some situations they could be one injection away from an unaffected performance, in others it could be a retirement because they are unable to steer.

It is impossible to tell what affect this injury will have on his riding untill he tries it. Lets hope all goes well and he is fit asap.
 
He's a racer, he will race through injury and pain. These guys are tough. They would probably race if their wedding tackle got caught in their bike's chain.

The bone that every racer has nightmares about breaking. Common with violent highsides, gets broken as a rider has the handlebar literally wrenched from his grip as the bike flips. Hard to heal as it only gets fed blood at one end and difficult to pin. Either way very painful. So not good for Hopper right at the start of the season, especially seeing as the Suzuki seems to be working and John's on fire.
