Honda's RC213V Engine

For whatever reason Manly were not good enough, and the pattern was similar to previous recent manly storm finals games, where one side or the other wins big. I think this year was manly's last chance for a while as well, but I can't complain after their considerable success in recent years.

Thats right and Melbourne did look good. They will be favourites for the grand final.

I was out drinking with a manly supporter yesterday and he went home to find himself locked out by his wife... He went straight back to the pub.

Storm to win the GF.

The Dogs are the team I hate the most, so whilst I'm not a Melbourne fan, better them than the evil Dogs.

Talps, good to see you back to your old self.

See, all it took was one reasonable ride by Rossi, and you are back, spirits lifted, and smashing anyone not willing to agree that Rossi is the greatest ever.

The Dogs do tend to polarise people generally from one of 3 bases:

Eels fans - left over rivalry from the 80s and the two teams' fan bases love giving it to each other. The feeling is mutual.

Roosters fans - rivalry stemming from 2002 (when the Dogs lost their points due to minor salary cap issues) through to around 2007 due firstly to them being front runners in the earlier years and then the poaching of players to go to the latte sipping hens.

Other people's dislike of the Bulldogs' strong middle eastern fan base and the rubbish they have gone on with after games - traditionally after either Eels or Roosters games but this hasn't happened for a while.

Do you fall into one of these categories or another one altogether?

Anyway, way off topic - better bring it back.

Good engine that Honda one...

I used to hate the doggies but since Des took over I like them. Go Des's Dogs, boo Storm. A warning: every team seems to have a real bad day against Melbourne. First Souths, then Manly, next.......................................hope not.

Hahaha, you guys are peeved that you opened a thread on PS and folks were talking about something totally different?! That's a good one!! LOL!!

Hold on - neither have any ill intent. On some forums the mods will descend immediately if you slightly stray from the O.P. - but one of the things I like about this forum is the way that threads evolve and often go off at a tangent - particularly when you have so many interesting and knowledgeable contributers amongst our membership. I like that lack of regulation, so long as decorum is maintained - becasue as we have seen again, it can readily descend into anarchy. Completely agree about the fighting and bickering though. I have done my share and am aware how tedious it can get for other members. I am also guilty of deviating from the OP - it only takes a couple of posts to steer it back again. I do understand your frustration though.

There was a SBK race last night. 9 replies? Barry likes animals, 1900 replies!!! Oh and Honda have a 90 or 70 or 72 or 75 degree V4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Honda appear to have a specific V4 strategy. They apparently want the motogp, CRT and SBK titles. Its going to be total domination. Which is ok for me, I like Honda.

I will concede that discussion of the world's 2nd and 3rd smallest "football" codes on an international gp bike racing forum is stretching things (I actually am prejudiced in favour of the second smallest birdman, since my father played 120 AFL, or VFL as it was then, games at the elite level) but don't apologise for a moment for bringing the original avengers, and the timeless beauty of the young diana rigg, into goatboy's discussion of what is timeless and what is of its time.

...or the relative merits of 'Some Girls' and 'Black and Blue'

Haha Pete. Still cracks me up. I dont mind the stick ball sport talk, i just didnt know what it was, i couldnt place it. I admit, dont know .... about soccer, so i know nothing bout rugby. Threads most never stay on topic. Thats a bit of the beauty on PS.

seems like the 90° V4 will be the version of the road going rc213v.

this is all getting very confusing:

in 2014 we will see - a dumbed down version of the rc213v gp bikes sold to privateers to compete in motogp (i guess the rc213v as we know it minus the pneumatics basically)

- a new road going superbike as a successor to the rc30/45, inspired by the rc213v but a bit more than the fireblade in 2004 with a new 90° V4

- this new superbike being raced in WSBK by rea/haslam

maybe the 90° V4 is the way to prevent difficulties because they will be racing very similiar bikes in gps and wsbk?

See Austin thread as its more important that football gets talked bout than the sukses of a billion dollar stadium. see u in a month or so.
