Hiroshi Aoyama to GP 2010 with cafe latte?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ROCKGOD01 @ Oct 5 2009, 04:54 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>I think you need to read it again. Here we go refers to this debate again. I never said he Is a token japanese just asking the question as to weather or not this kid is or isn't. Don't tell me to read what I have written to figure oiut my own meaning while trying to start an argument. Not a very good tactic and I think you should apologize.

Would you like some tampons with that apology

I don't buy the often touted "fact" that Honda hasn't developed their 250 since 2005. You don't win races and/or hang with the top bikes/riders by having a bike that "hasn't been developed. I didn't buy that argument when Dovi was riding it against Lorenzo and I don't buy it now with Aoyama. If it were true then Honda developed an amazing 250cc a half decade ago that was so good it could stand on its own for 5 seasons. What I do believe is that Honda has been developing it, because they want to win as much as anyone else, they may just not make it public what they have been doing.

Regardless of the ability of his bike, Aoyama has shown his talent. He was better then Takahashi last year and felt cheated of his chance to go to GP when Taka went. This year however he has proven he should be given the chance to show his skill in GP. As far as how he would do in GP, I will reserve judgment until I see some of his winter test times.

Not being touchy, Kato just doesn't belong in the same category as the Japanese 250cc champions who never made it. His career was too short and in that brief time he impressed me more than any of his compatriots have in MotoGP/500s.

No he wasn't, Hiro had a terrible year last year

Wow you need to use tampons? You must buy in bulk since you are willing to give some away. LOL. Come on. I like Hiro. I wasn't rippin on him in any way. If you saw it that way you are just reading to much into it. Here's to a better year of close ... racin next year with all the rookies comin in. I am excited.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Nuts @ Oct 5 2009, 09:04 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>And if we can believe what we are told, apparently the Honda is no where near as good at the Aprilia / Gilera.
Full credit to him and he deserves a good ride regarless of what nationality he is.

Full credit to him. That's 250 Honda hasn't seen any major development since the last two years.

I dont know if a bunch of rookies is going to make the racing any closer but I do share your excitement

The Honda 250 did suffer a couple of years of neglect, but was re-engineered prior to this season (can't find the freakin' link...) and it shows not only in the results of Aoyama, but in the results of Wilairot, DeRosa and Faubel... much more competitive this year.

YEah assuming they have decent machinery, then it should prove to be very exciting. I hope they all challenge the big four so we have something more to think about other than just the few guys that are always at the top. I hope Haydens work proves to help him cause that dude is a fighter. But as far as the rookie thing goes Jorge made one hell of an impression his first year. Had he not gone to balls to the wall he might have been the champ.

Aoyama said on after the flag that the bike HAD NOT received any development. I'm not surprised you can't find a link!

The dude is leading the 250 championship with a distinct HP disadvantage. He was cool as hell when we met him and very much deserves this.

Now I gotta get the shovel...

Can't be that many brand new 2010 Hondas available for next year and Latte is the
last team on the que for bikes for the new season. Looks like Aoyama will go
from one aged Honda to another. A shame really. He should be riding
Dovisioso's bike.

That's the plan. It's that stupid 'Rookie Rule' that's in the way of him getting the factory HRC ride.
