Haydens Greatest Win

They look to beat whoever is going the fastest. Last autumn the answer was Hopper. Now people are looking to beat Stoner (ducati). A lot of people have also been looking at Pedrosa. The target rolls on as the form book dictates. But when asked who they think will be serious contenders throughout this season most money is on Rossi, But he is one of the best riders of all time, so why wouldn't you look to him.

i would say haydens greatest victory was the 06 championship.

Is that because he's one of the best riders ever or because he's consistantly a winner?

I would imagine (cuz I'll never know) that it's gotta be real tough lining up against a guy like that knowing that he has a 50/50 shot at winning every MotoGP race he's in.

No doubt!! Thats why its all the more impressive when someone beats him to the title eh?

I think riders will target rossi because he is the most sure of all the riders to be fast. Hayden has only really had a year and a half of front running. If he puts together another solid championship (top 4) then he will get further recognition from those who doubt him.

No way man, he will never get respect from the doubters/haters. That's an incurable disease. They can't do it man.

But there are plenty of Rossi fans that do appreciate and respect Hayden. As a matter of fact, if you were to ask Rossi the man himself, he would say he "respects" Hayden...but you could never convince Rossi's worshippers. Hell they “deify” him so much that they even “defy” what he says.

same can be said about haydonettes who are rossi haters.
hate is a very strong word mate. for the record i dont hate farmboy and i do respect him after all he is the world champ in the sport i love, but he is not the man i root for.
but the banter and fan base we give our guys makes it more fun imo.

That's why his doubters say he was the luckiest guy last season even if Pee Wee almost ruined it for him.

IF - Not if he doesn't win.

If you are talking about his greatest individual race win then there is not a lot of choice!

Laguna 05 - No one else knew the track.
Laguna 06 - Only the Honda bike worked and of those riders Nicky won.
Assen 06 - Edwards handed it to him!

But if you mean overall then his 2006 Championship without a doubt even if that was handed to him by the poorness of other bikes e.g. Yamaha!

I hear you man. It killed me. But hey, it's not like it hasn't ever happened to your boy. Its easy rooting for one of the best riders of all time, but when you are rooting for Hayden who is an American to boot, well that takes guts...and as the Gunney said in the greatest movie of all time: "Guts is enough!" --Full Metal Jacket 1988
