Coming from Pedrosa:-

“I wasn’t trying to overtake him," Pedrosa said. "I braked as normal and suddenly I could see I was approaching to him too fast. But I didn’t feel like I was faster than the lap before when he overtake me."

I've only seen the mistake once but surely Pedrosa's more experienced than to make a newbie error like that and it honestly looked like he was having a go at him through the corner!

I'm not a Hayden fan but I really do feel sorry for him - not the way to go out. I still think Dani spat his dummy out because of the overtaking move done by Hayden on the lap before....

Do you reckon Yamaha are going to buy Dani a Hamper from Harrods...

I have the race taped and replayed the incident a few times, I don't buy Dani's excuse, he didn't look to be closing on Hayden's back wheel, he was well back when he took a line to cut under Hayden, it was a bonehead move giving all there was to lose

I don't blame Nicky is he doesnt forgive Dani, this is probably his one and only chance of winning the championship and as I said before it has probably gone down the drain UNLESS Rossi falls at Valencia but I seriously doubt it.

Huh poor Hayden... seriously guys now... it's racing....come on... wake up and face the real world.....

Hayden had after laguna seca a 51 points leat and with two races to go he had only 12... not dani will lose the title for him...nicky will lose it ... he needed to fight and he didn't... "if" does not count for anybody... he did not make any podiums since laguna, he had luck at PI ( with the bikt shifts) and at motegi with nakano and stoner crashes...

Hi Folks, new here and this is my first post. I have to agree with the above post, Nicky has thrown away enough points this season that you cant blame Pedrosa if he loses the title race. It was a piece of bad luck for Nicky, but he has led the championship for a long time with very few wins, and at the end of the day, if he had won more races, then today would be easier to swallow. Rossi has had more than his share of DNFs this year and is at the top of the table. It will be a hard one to swallow if Nicky loses the title, but to win the world championship takes more than a lot of good luck. If he'd been beating Rossi regularly head to head I'd feel worse for him.

Cheers mate, don't worry, I'm not shy, and I'm very passionate about Motogp...

Thanks Capirex, todays race was such a blinder that I had to find someone to have a chat with! I'm sure we will talk loads mate!

The fact is Nicky has been the most consistant rider all year and that deserves something. I cant believe the lack of support Honda gave Nicky, I mean why did it take them until Motegi to try and sort out the clutch? why did they not offer him a contract until Motegi? I just feel that if the shoe was on Pedrosa's foot, things would be differant.

I agree, consistency counts for something, but if Hayden had been on the gas since Laguna Seca, he wouldnt be where he is today. It has to be put down as a racing incident, and as Capirex says, Hayden can prove to everyone the racer he is by coming back fighting next time.

Great stuff, I like a bit of passionate debate!!

I'm not a Hayden fan - and I always wanted Rossi to win
<
BUT

not this way - Hayden has every right to be naffed off with Dani - it was a stupid move at the worst possible time in the championship. Hayden had led the championship beause he was the most consistent and yes - he's not exactly shone at the last few rounds but - it's a cruel way to lose your lead, Nicky deserved at least to have a fair pop at it and I think he has every right to blame others for his down-fall

First of all - in typical Honda style they refuse to accept the clutch Hayden was testing was utter rubbish and let him struggle on round after round

then, his team mate takes him out of possibly the most important race of the season.

Dani should be very embarrased.

BUT IT AIN'T OVER YET !

SHTT Happens you know.. you don't have to cry about that.... you have to get your a up and kick back...
Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom.

So yes Stop whinning hayden...

P.s. Welcome to the forum baldylocks

And I'm sure Valentino would rather have won in a straight fight too, but the fact remains, Hayden has fallen off the pace since Laguna Seca, lost a big points lead, and lets not forget, was behind Rossi when it happened, and to be honest it looked like a matter of time til Dani got past (but obviously didnt) At the end of the day, it's the guys like Rossi, Doohan and the like who win multiple titles coz they are always racing for the win. Ive liked Hayden for a long time, he's a good rider, but you have to rack up the wins to be a world champion.

thanks for the welcome Capirex

don't get me wrong I don't feel THAT sorry for Nicky !
<

either way Valencia is going to be awesome !

Good point, its gonna be a cracker, my moneys on the Doctor. I just read Haydens quotes, sorry it's not Dani's fault if Hayden loses the title race, it would be Valentino's fault for beating him fare and square!
