I just read Haydens quotes, sorry it's not Dani's fault if Hayden loses the title race, it would be Valentino's fault for beating him fare and square!

i'm not a gambling man but i'd have a fiver on rossi too.

there's an awfull lot of hondas that will want to spoil the party for rossi tho

this is haydens chance to show what he's made of. or not. his backs against the wall & he MUST win valencia. do what he should have done all season & what toni elias did today.& just beat rossi to the line! & hope someone slots infront of him.

okay, just my 2 cents...

i watched that crash a good 10 or 20 times ( they wouldn't stop playing replays).... it was completely Pedrosa's fault. I cringed everytime my little lucky charm took out Hayden.

IMO Hayden has every right to be angry with him .... no matter how many points Nicky has thrown out the window this year.... he has been the most consistent and deserving of his place in the champ. points.

i find it hard to beleive that matters weren't discussed with both the riders prior to the race... not in the form of team orders so to speak, but more of ...."DON'T BATTLE WITH EACHOTHER!"

the first mistake i've seen from pedrosa, and a very silly one at that.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (basspete @ Oct 15 2006, 03:55 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>And I'm sure Valentino would rather have won in a straight fight too, but the fact remains, Hayden has fallen off the pace since Laguna Seca, lost a big points lead, and lets not forget, was behind Rossi when it happened, and to be honest it looked like a matter of time til Dani got past (but obviously didnt) At the end of the day, it's the guys like Rossi, Doohan and the like who win multiple titles coz they are always racing for the win. Ive liked Hayden for a long time, he's a good rider, but you have to rack up the wins to be a world champion.

Nicky looked pretty racy to me. But then again, what do I know?

guess he himself needs a lucky charm.

I agree with your post. No matter how many points he had thrown away, if he was bound to lose the championship, then it would have been better if it was just entirely his fault, and not because someone crashed into him.

come on guys what if hayden didnt get taken out?!?! He would have probably lost more points then lose more again and the title in Valancia. Speaking of what ifs what if say rossi's bike didn't die while leading in france we wouldn't be even having this conversation. Thats racing, rossi has had bad luck. But true champions battle thru it. Hayden just wasn't gonna win it yes he is close, probably is the only chance he'll ever have it as well but maybe he shouldn't have raced so poorly after laguna. Eventually Luck normally balances out remember how lucky he got when it rained in phillpe Island??

The guy is a little pissed after being crashed out by his teammate. What's wrong with that?

And how do you know he wouldn't have won the race? He got a better start than he has recently, and Rossi has been beaten before. Hayden was looking real racy. I admit that my money would've been on Rossi, but who knew for sure that Nicky wasn't gonna win it? Elias won it, didn't he?

i'd like to add that most of what ua ll r saying there is some truth.... but c'mon u r teammate? they r both repsol hrc. and lets not 4 get elias? damn!!!! totally blew me away. really happy for him. u can never underestimate a motogp race. especially this season....MY GOD!!!! Man, but if i was hayden.... i dunno what i wouldve done after all that. i mean, c'mon dude, we r still a team and i have the championship lead and a shot at winning it, and ur gonna pull that on me? Nick Hayden? IMO he has just as much class as rossi. c','mon dude. man, rite when i starting to KINDA likin' pedrobot. he comes at Nick like this. BUT HEY THAT IS F##KIN RACING!!!!!! What can u do? my best guess is sit back and take it in.....for the better or worse. lets not 4 get this is moto gp. im not stickin up for pedrosa...if im sticking up for anyone its hayden. hayden would've ( i know the word (could've, should've, would've) but c'mon dani. HAVE SOME CLASS. just a little. sorry for the rant.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (krazy91 @ Oct 16 2006, 02:46 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>what if ..... Speaking of what ifs what if

What if Doohan never got injured? What if Cardoso was fast? What if I won the lottery? What if Frosty's gonna be pissed off at me for taking his job?

I wish, Jane. It's been all study for weeks. But a mate introduced me to the japanese concept of "Drinking while studying" Brilliant stuff. Who said men can't do two things at once?

Been doing that since the start of my internship year: my only consolation when my patients beat the .... out of me.

“I don’t know if I really forgave him, but I told him there is one way to make it up to me, and that is if we run one-two at Valencia, it’s still possible, and that’s what I told him when he left,” he said. “I mean that’s the one way he can make it up to me.”

Nicky boy should wake up to reality. This is motorcycle racing.

The comment "this is racing" has been said in many posts, I know Hayden agrees that getting taken down by another bike is always a possability, what irks him is who did it and what was at stake to lose, to be passed cleanly is one thing but to attempt to try a risky pass like Dani's is just plain irresponsable at this stage of the game. If I were Hayden I'd be pissed off too
