I agree that Rossi couldn't do what Stoner did on the GP7 or any of the successor bikes. I recall reading Burgess summarising Stoner's incredible riding style - basically, a constant state of oversteer (which overcame the Ducati's reluctance to turn).

The 06 Yamaha had bad chatter issues, but they ended up reverting to an 05 frame at some point during the season which fixed the issues quickly. However, it did obviously grenade itself twice at Laguna and Le Mans.

I'll never forgive HRC for that stupidity with the "Evo" bike.

You are right 100%. Back to the drawing board for me mate. Can I get edit out of Ducati, Honda and Yamaha? I thought those contenders you name were competing for the secondary CRT 4th podium championship.

Zarco is saying that he had an issue with the right side of the front tyre (as in defective) when he started going backwards and was lucky not to end up in the gravel...

Obviously a tawdry excuse, a defective Michelin front tyre being absolutely unprecedented.

A contention which might not help Zarco’s chances of getting a good Michelin tyre next time.

I think Marquez knew a win here was huge for his championship defence. It's a Ducati/Yamaha track and getting the W here would almost be like if Dovi beat him in Austin.

The next 4 tracks should favour Honda over Ducati and a win at a Ducati track would've really shaken Ducati and Dovi's confidence this year. It was a calculated risk.

That's a flawed statement.
2018 marks the first year the fastest bike on the grid can turn. Until Lorenzo rediscovers his mojo, the championship is Dovi's to lose.

He was the victor yesterday due to the bikes ability to strip the paint off it's competitors as it blew past them down the stretch. Put him on Cals bike for that race and he wouldn't have been anyone near the front

It is not the same bike and nowhere near the same support from Honda engineers.
It has been rumored that Marquez demanded Pedrosa stay on as his teammate, so that he may continue to be unencumbered by a fast teammate
