Marco was on the racing line coming onto the home straight in the wet conditions. He wasn't on a hot lap and Stoner was. He should have been over on the inside out of the way. The shake of the head was warranted but no big deal.
im trying to remember what thread it was. some stoner fans here gave the reason was ,stoner was a bit miffed that marco was so slow because he was not taking points out of the other riders which would help stoners championship chances, they had also had a meeting bla bla to try and help marco but he was still slow, stoner then shook his head in frustration. thats how i read it here. i couldnt really give a .... as long as he aint trying to kick riders on there bikes.

Read it again. I didn't suggest dispensing with the gravel and replacing it with asphalt at all. I'm fully aware that the gravel is what slowed him down. I'm saying that extended asphalt can sometimes prevent extensive injuries as opposed to a rider tipping off straight into a gravel trap as evidenced by Stoners fall in practice.
