Pénteken hivatalosan is megerősítették: Talmácsi Gábor a királykategóriában a Scot Honda színeiben folytatja a versenyzést.

Úgy néz ki tehát, hogy megtörténik a „csoda”, vagyis hamarosan magyar versenyző fog debütálni a legfelső kategóriában. A hírek szerint a magyar versenyző a nagy géposztály pénteki szabadedzésén már részt fog venni, méghozzá a számára új, Honda RC212 V nyergében.

Talmácsi csapathoz kerülését nagyban segíthette, hogy a Scot Honda Racing új főszponzora a Mol lesz, amely egyben a magyar versenyző főszponzora is.

debütálni = DEBUT ?

Did I miss something? What happened to Takahashi? Is he injured or just not posting the results?

Even as a back marker it's hard to imagine that they'd just kick him off for a weekend.

no man! two scot team bikes!! lets hope he doesn´t crash too much

takahashi will be no more after this weekend. scot cannot afford to run a two man squad & talmacsi brings oil sponsorship $.

good call...

Oh my, are they allowed to arbitrarily kick out the token Japanese?
<

Maybe they'll do what Kawasaki is claiming in SBK and say their rider is injured and needs more time to recuperate
<

Running 2 sets of crew might be expensive for a team like Scot, but let's assume Talmacsi is riding for free/paying for the crew via his sponsors, it might make it worth it in the end. Mostly, Dorna will be paying for it I believe. It doesn't look good when anyone that comes in 2nd last can still get a point.

Hungarian translation:

On Friday became official, Talmácsi Gábor will race in the king-category under the flag of Scot Honda.
It seems the "wonder" is going to happen; a Hungarian rider will soon make a debut in the highest category. News say the Hungarian rider will begin with the Friday free practice on the seat of the RC212 V, totally new to him.
Talmácsi's arrival to the team was helped by Mol, Scott Honda Racing's new sponsor, also the sponsor of Talmácsi.

If I was Hungarian id be really happy!! but im not so ill speak the truth, he's probably going to end up in the back but good for him he is finally playing with boys closer to his age

He was two seconds off 18th place today but his times improved quite a bit. He was six seconds off the leader mid-way through FP1 and closed it down to around 4.6. I'm not expecting much this weekend but for him to just plug away and begin to get comfortable. Monday will only help his cause, probably why he started when he did. He's a very talented rider, I'm excited to see what he can do in three or four rounds' time.

I'd say at least he has a chance to play with the "big boys". Not anybody can say that.
I'm not expecting any miracle from Talmacsi, but he can get quick very fast, as we saw in 250 class.
Thumbs up for him, he can't be worse than Takahashi.

Never do business with a Hungarian! He and his manager have pulled some shady .... in leaving 250's for MotoGP. Then they kick out Yuki, who's running 9th? Shameful!

no more Token Jap?? What does SuperShitya have to say about this?

...This just in. Haga to replace someone in MOTOGP after he wins the WSBK championship.

He's a bit long in the tooth brotha. If they wanted and "old" man to kick some ass, they would have called on Bayliss.

Bayliss is a Jap...WTF. Jum we need a token Jap in the championship. Im pretty sure that's the only reason Taka got his ride.

Go Haga!!
