Furusawa: I'd rather keep Rossi

Rossi is a master manipulator and he is starting to realize that Jorge can steal his thunder. What does he do, he starts a campaign to exile his his nemesis to another bike. Why, its simple. If Jorge beats him on the same equipment, there can be zero excuses and the fan will realize the torch has been passed. If he is successful in exiling Jorge to another team, it will give him at least another year to set on the throne while Jorge settles into a new team. And even if he loses to Jorge on another bike, the better bike excuse is always available and the masses will take it and run with it..

When it comes to Rossi and his fans, there is always an excuse. It hasnt happened but twice, but for each there was an excuse, from Rossi and his fans.
<

well why being a rossi fan should mean you dont see anything past him? i am a fan because i grew up watching him, but that doesnt mean i should search for excuses every time he loses. anyway there are no excuses in racing.. in 06 he lost it by himself in valencia so nicky deserved it more and in 07 stoner was so much faster. but valentino is seven times champion.. he doesnt have many things to prove and he doesnt care a lot about giving any excuses, i think.

Puig vs Burgess. No contest.

Let there be no doubt compa... Of course Cero, Nada, Ningún... Contest!!!

Silly remark on my side; let me correct: Burgess + Rossi gave Yamaha ‘Direction’ and Results. This seems to be exactly what Honda lacks of since they left!

Curve has it nailed, and the rest is just a bunch of very big ifs. I like gorgeous George and he is a big part of the future of the sport, but Yamaha has the best bike in motogp because of their working relationship with the nine time world champ and his team, would Yamaha be better off keeping the man who has the best track record, grab another couple of titles and develop the bike for others like spies to take over or choose jl and let the goat And jb slip away??

I know where I'd put my money......

I would imagine a comment like that is for Lorenzo's benefit if they are in negotiations. Furusawa is anything but stupid.

No at all Stupid! Furusawa sealed the deal that has given Yamaha 4 / 6 Titles!!!

Note: Sorry Goat, I read it wrong!

Both Furusawa and Rossi sound like they own entire Yam corp whenever they speak about the silly season. It is always me me me me or I want this, that… Rossi took back the comment of kicking Lorenzo out, and then stupid Frusawa is now backing it. They are just arrogant.

So.. they successfully get rid of JL, but who is going to step in? Ben Spies! Once he starts kicking Rossi`s ..., they will kick him out..it will never end until he finally move to Duc to fulfill his dream of Italian man on Italian bike. But, what is left in Yam then?

Let Furusawa speak what he wants.. but the Yam management is looking bit different picture.. their profit heavily relies on the bike sales in Indonesia where motogp is very popular. If I were the management, I would try to keep both. The fact that both riders are equally fast is giving the Yam pretty good image. If Rossi insists, tell him to go to Ducati. He will go there eventually in near future anyway.

I think that Rossi to Ducati talk is about as fanciful as traction control rode Stoner's bike in 07. Rossi has never said, well not that I have read anyway, that he wants to ride an Italian bike, that it is his dream to ride an Italian bike blah blah blah. He has only ever said that he wants to finish on a Yamaha. If Rossi fans can't even believe what their idol says what is the point. Does it mean that even his fans think he speaks with a forked tongue. They repeatedly crap on how he only ever tells it like it is and how great and prophetic every word that comes out of his mouth is but then refuse to listen to him when he says he only wants to stay at Yamaha.

You're not new at all to this site are you? Your silly ramblings are just to recognizable.

Might I suggest more reading, it's pretty clear in his book.

The only ones that I have read that really 'Insist' Rossi is leaving to go to Ducati are the ones that try to discredit his and Burgess achievements in Yamaha. You said it your self… blah, blah, blah… For example:

Most fans of Rossi, as I... have seen, think and back him up staying in Yamaha to end his hopefully next 3 Championships there! Even Furusawa!

He certainly had enogh excuses against Hayden since i remember Rossi beat him in most of the battles, and had a few more dnf's than Hayden. Stoner beat Rossi clearly, and he was ablr to win gp's in next years as well, but Hayden beat him only in points, and not in the battle's or anyway not in the most of the battles.

when it comes to naming Rossi's championships and statistics, then they are only numbers, but when it comes to Hayden or Stoner's, at once a championship and statistics become So Much important.

Rossi's fans are not much different with other rider's fans, i,m sure you have more than a few excuses for Hayden's performances during his Ducati and Honda times.

Rossi has never had a "dream" to be "an Italian on an Italian bike". As Kroptokin said recently he is probably the only Italian not keen to see the combination happen.

Regarding keeping both I cannot remember, despite watching bike racing for over 20 years, seeing two serious WC challengers in the same team. It is not usual, probably partly because there are usually only 1 or 2 seriously top guys in a season. It's sad to think that we are blessed with such a depth of talent in the current motogp field and yet have to suffer 21litres of fuel and the attendant ..... racing.

To true Yamaka and to my memory the last would be the Lawson/Gardner Honda days but am happy to be corrected.

Certainly some may say Doohan/Criville although for mine, Criville was never going to beat MD across a season without outside influences (in accidents etc). Other than those two I doubt that there have been many teams whereby there has been a serious (or real) possibility of either rider winning the WC until the VR/JL teaming.

Now to be corrected

100% correct.

I may add, as an Italian, that actually there are many more here who do not really care if Rossi ever rides a Ducati. It is more like a journalists' dream, -- they for sure would love it and immediately hype the thing out of proportion, but it would basically be a media/advertisment trip... It's not something the "people" really feel so hot about. Italy already has Ducati and has Rossi, putting them together would not multiply them
<

One might even argue that Rossi on a Ducati would mean putting all eggs in one basket... Which would mean that if Vale loses, Ducati also loses. While in 2007 for instance Rossi lost, but Ducati won so we still had a reason to rejoice..

Just kidding, but just
