The funny thing is, some people would believe dribble posted on a forum over a world class rider if it suits their POV.

By what you said, about believing world class riders, should we not believe what both Rossi and Marc said was in fact the truth? (As I did)
Thus, since Rossi stated in his statement he broke a rule, shouldn't that be the end of this ridiculous episode?

The issue with 'believing' these riders is that there are many and varied opinions or interpretations, so which is correct and which is incorrect .............. wait, they know their stuff so they cannot be incorrect.
The issue is that many of these riders (being reported on all sides of the fence) have their own vested interest (could be a business interest, personal, admiration of one of the involved and so on) and of course just as with forum followers, the riders own vested interest will cloud their judgements.
Interesting that in years past when some riders spoke ......... they lied but today we are to believe.
Nope, I go with vested interests often makes a person view what their want to have happened rather than what did happen, and that does not say that they are 100% wrong either as some of what these people are saying is in agreement with many that have an opposing view on other aspects
