Well i'll remind you that opertunities are not picked out of a hat or given by coincedence. But as you say, it is easier to go down, the order of things is emebedded in most racing fans minds.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Also, who is the better rider: a wsbk champ or a 250gp champ?
It is hard to compare them you can really only say that a rider is the best in his category.
It really depends on the context of better? If you mean who is a better rider you would need a standard by which to judge all, I tend to use motogp as an absolute standard (because it is the pinnacle of the sport) so I consider 250cc riders to be the next best thing.
Another way of looking at things would be the prestige asociated with achievements in each class, but that depends a lot on who and where you are. To some people 125cc and 250cc titles mean nothing, whereas i would consider a Grand Prix world title more prestigous than any achievement on a Superbike. Some people believe their domestic Superbike championships to be better than the worlds, but I don't believe the best riders in one country would happen to be the best riders in the world in a racing dicipline that spans so much of the world. To some people a Suzuka 8-hour race is worth more than anything else in the world...................................
