Aw geez...post number 1.....where the fook do i start?

So Suppo is gone....so what? I can't see any real evidence to claim that Suppo and Stoner had some kind of falling out...or even failed to see eye to eye. On the contrary, from a fan's perspective it seems to me that Suppo was something of a mediator and a supporter of Stoner, particularly towards the end of Stoner's absence. No doubt the boppers will be in here soon enough to correct me....

Michaelm, a special word for you as I have enjoyed reading your posts in particular - please stop bending over backwards to accommodate the lunatic views of the boppers. Plenty of us understand your arguments but don't bother to register, post and rebut (like me). TBH it's tiresome enough just reading it, even though it is entertaining.

Anyway, so he's gone. I just hope it doesn't upset Stoner cos if there's one thing we don't need it's less competition.

I'm not inferring that it's his duty as a competitor to develop a rideable bike. I'm saying for Ducati, it's in their best interest that they have a rider who is capable of developing a rideable bike.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BarryMachine @ Nov 5 2009, 12:11 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Never before in the history of MGP has a rider developed a bike " that anyone can ride" ...... the nearest we have ever seen has been bikes developed by JB. Count the number of wins on bikes developed by JB and Co. and you get the picture

Rossi and Burgess did a pretty good job with the RC211V and M1.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BarryMachine @ Nov 5 2009, 12:11 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>If you imply that Hayden shall "develop the Ducati" ..... well he has no background in developing a bike, what successful bike has he developed in the past?
Hayden spent last season refining the pneumo 212 and turned the powerplant into what it is today. He was able to get results out of it, Pedrosa and Dovizioso claim it's too aggressive. A change in electronics should remedy that situation fairly quickly and I believe Honda will have a stronger package for 2010.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BarryMachine @ Nov 5 2009, 12:11 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>No Hayden needs to pull his finger out and start taking points away from the Rossi's and Lorenzos, thats what Capirossi did and that part of why its so much easier for any rider to have a fellow rider who can do this. Just look at Sepang for instance ......... Hayden let both Rossi and Lorenzo get by ........ thats a lot of points away from his team mate ......
Not going to happen. Not on an 800.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BarryMachine @ Nov 5 2009, 12:11 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>That saying I still want Hayden to suddenly get all "gung ho", get a bit of that "killer instinct back" and have his best season ever next year!.
I don't think Hayden will be a double world champion.

Come on Austin...maybe not in MotoGP but how about WSBK?

I hope that's where he goes when he leaves grand prix.

I am pleased if there is even one person who doesn't find my posts entirely turgid

.

Having spent two years on here complaining about lack of respect for stoner's talent and achievements, particularly in 2007, and decrying arguments as to why these were negligible, I feel compelled to congratulate rossi for his 6th and 7th premier class championships and to dismiss qualifications concerning his (latest) achievements.

I will confess to a hope and perhaps even some expectation that such attempts at graciousness on my part will not be so required in 2010.
