Ducati confirms carbon fibre swingarm

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (roger-m @ Mar 15 2009, 11:56 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>It's a man of low character that never admits he is wrong BM ! You can try and put spin on your earlier statements to try and hide the fact you were wrong. Many here not just me and babel worked you out a long time ago. I too have read you comments on abs on motogp bikes, unlucky for you we quoted you before you could do your sneaky trick and change you post . Your quite a cowardly person arnt you bm ! rhetorical question

<

<
Rog. you are a total .... ...... lets assume I was writing as babel suggests .... why then did he not go on to hassle me for thinking riders have "aerodynamically shaped beer guts" ( cos thats written in the same sentence you ....... ( I'm assuming you could read the few extra words to get to that bit)

Get a life Rog.

PS .... did Babel go to the same engineering school as you?

PPS. If you care to look I have also in the past said I believe ABS would be downright dangerous on a race bike ...... so which of "my" beliefs are the true one?

Gone back and edited your ........ posts recently ??
i dont know why i bother talking to a cowardly bull shitting troll like you. guess your funny sometimes like pinky. Its clear to me that all your knowledge is a product of google rather than education and experience. Now piss off, im to busy to play with trolls today.

Not many people follow your posts around the forum, that's precisely the point.

gee I think statistically you may be a bit wrong there ..... just look at how many posts have been made by Rog. Babel yourself etc .... not posts about CF swingarms though ..... they are posts about my posts on other things ..... so I assume I'm more interesting than CF swingarms

THen Tom says something and the puppies go chasing over there

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BarryMachine @ Mar 15 2009, 11:58 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>so thats enough for you to say I believe bikes have ABS or somesuch
<
....... what about the jam doughnuts then ..... why don't you say I said bikes have these
<
<
<
<

For a person who claims to enjoy tecno descussion you truly have a strange approach
But lets leave jam and doghnuts, and get back on topic:
I take back what I said about being taken out of context. It was spot on.
This is what you posted about ABS and a few more interesting points:
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>Without TC we could have a bike that has lots of power .... but can't get that power to the ground .... so the end result is ...... its a slower bike.

So really it comes down to .... are TC bikes faster ....... again the answer seems pretty much accepted as yes. ( otherwise why don't we see riders not running it laugh.gif ).

It could be argued that brakes are a rider aid too .... seems a funny criteria to impose on such a racing formula as motogp ...... a rule that procludes finding out the fastest guy on the fastest type of bike.

It would be a rule that indicates motogp has the purpose of finding the guy who simply has "the best throttle control" ........ not much of a race to watch in my opinion.

Why stop at just throttle control .... why not get rid of ABS ..... So we will now have a formula that finds the guy with the best brake and throttle control.

How about suspension damping ..... or even suspension ...... ( what if I decided I was old school no suspension!! ) ... we could find the best rider on a bike with no suspension riders aids!!

Steering dampers .... only wusses need them!! laugh.gif laugh.gif

Alltough you are obviously trying to be ironic is there anything here that can suggest that you didn't think ABS was a part of the driving aids for motoGP?
Is there anything what so ever that isn't clear as purified water in the statement above that you truly thought bikes were faster with TC a year ago while now you claim they are slower?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>This is what I posted:

And I still stand by it ....... instead your answer is some stupid ..... about the politic of my posts.
Ever tried a mirror BM? I'm not the one wandering completly off topic here:
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>I already realise you very much dislike my posts, (as I probably stole your girlfriend or something years ago
<

<
... you might be right
<
<
) but nonetheless your initial reaction to my posts about CF swingarms was to start on with that ........ you choose to deliberately act ignorant about .....

Dislike isn't the right word, hilarious is much better.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>Tell me how the above statement, about Ducati having used CF cpmponents before, irks you then we may get somewhere otherwise you are just another Rog.
<

Read the tread and you will find this:
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>I don't disagree with Ducati and I suspect they really do have a good chance of getting this right, but that sure as hell isn't becuase of their experience from making CF fairings.
and this:
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>I called BM on one point there: The carbon fibre frame and swingarm was a natural progresson from Ducati's previous experience in CF manufacturing, ie fairing, tank, subframe...
This simply doesn't make sense.
It's as relevant experience as if I called my self a carpenter and started to construct and build wodden houses becuase I've replaced the outdoor panels on my house.
If this doesn't explain to you what I mean nothing ever will.

Making up stuff again, are we? The original had no such text.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>PPS. If you care to look I have also in the past said I believe ABS would be downright dangerous on a race bike ...... so which of "my" beliefs are the true one?
Well that's part of the problem with you BM. One day TC makes for faster bikes, the next for slower bikes. Hard to tell what your beliefs are today.
BTW, Haslam finds the Honda C-ABS is close to perfect in dry, but the added weight is negative, while in wet he claims it's a huge advantage. Hardly dangerous. So unfortunatly you got it wrong on both accounts
<

As usual

stick to your fishing barry, cos you know .... all about race bikes and gp. The reason barrys beliefs are so inconsistent is because he googles and guesses to desperately try to prove us wrong on just about everything rather than talk from his own non existent knowledge.

After a sabbatical of a few days I unfortunately returned to reading some more of Bowel Movement's drivel. Even though I promised myself I wouldn't...

Bowel, your mental state is in decline.

Are you suffering from some untoward stress in your life?

Seriously, we are here to help council, and guide you, but like a faithful hound dog we are not here to take yer kicks, we'll bite. If your boyfriend or girlfriend left ya, if your mom's back on the pipe, if you just can't take the pressure of the daily grind - we understand. But, and take this as gospel, very few here will tolerate your asinine ........ and I for one take exception to your recent postings and attitude towards other solid members of the forum.

Positive suggestions?

1. Take up Muay Thai - great way to constructively release aggression AND exercise mind, body and soul;
2. Do track days twice a month and start club racing - perfect for learning to be graceful while controlling power, and how to behave humbly in a community of peers - or else!
3. Drop acid. If you did... you'd know why!
