Pedrosa isn't that good at the brakes. Took quite a few laps to pass Dovi on the '07, and in a "one line track" as he called it he could only pass others at the straights while rossi passed him twice on other places

I've said it before: Rossi owns Pedrosa. If the title fight would stand between these two at the last race and they were going head to head I'd give it a 10:1 odds favor Rossi.

Well done Casey, Good ride fae Vale, and can I be the first to welcome back our Aussie friends who only show face when their man wins.

You have to say lorenzo is a racer and really has got it. Much better by west, and hayden will probably improve further on the new bike.

Whilst I normally like a closer race, I am happy to take a stoner/ducati victory any which way at this time. He probably needs a mechanical problem from rossi in a future race for it to be really game on; rossi mainly needed to beat pedrosa in this race.

Good Race.

Shame about JT.

Lorenzo and Dovi were massively impressive in this race.

Pedrosa is such a limp wristed passer....gives up as soon as it gets tough...

Spies...I was more impressed with his ride and times than a certain other American...I think you should get a proper factory ride at Ducati!

Hopper....bad to worse luck....you should have taken some lighter fluid and a match to that green .......

Nicky....

What happened to Melandri? Beaten by De Angelis who had been on the floor! Poor guy, have the rest of the year off and sort your head out.

Sure, what's your rating now? 1 of 100?

There appeared to be a fairly good spirit between the three top placegetters at the end of the race, and between pedrosa and stoner on the podium.

Ben's first race! I think he gave us something to get really excited about with the qualifying and maybe spoiled us a bit, as Nick Harris said. It was great to see him out there though finishing in the points. Great stuff. Get this guy a ride.

Nicky. While 7th was disappointing, it was great to see him up at the sharp end and being able to put it inside people on a few corners. I hope he'll be able to improve as he gets more experience with the pneumo engine.

Shame about JT, I wanted to see him do well here.

Lorenzo sure is a racer. With orders to take it easy he were the fastest man on track the last 10 laps. Easy my ...

To me this was the expected, or at least the top two. I would have perferred the robot a bit further back but his usual rocket starts crushed that hope. But the result is godd any way with Rossi in the lead by 11 and 45 points.
Next race I'll be there I expect nothing less than what he did last year :)

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Pinky @ Jun 22 2008, 05:13 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>dont get ya buddy

I wouldn't expect you to get it either, but I'm sure the rest did. It's an IQ thing so don't bother.

Stoner owned that race from the flag drop. Hayden went well with the new machine and probably enjoyed that race a hell of a lot. CV slid back and without a new bike will continue to do so. Spies will be in the hunt where-ever he races next and look out AMA he has learned a ton this weekend.

this season isnt to bad so far but i feel the real battling doesnt get seen much anymore, i wish the bikes werent so touchy to setup what i mean is i wish they all had good setups for the race cos i think it makes for closer racing, who ever gets the setup spot on dissapers into the mist.

it was boring when rossi dissapered and its boring when stoner and pedro do to.

i still think they made a mistake doing away with the 990's

its good to see casey climbing the championship ladder i believe it makes it more exciting for all of us

i agree i think hayden done well considering he has only had limited hours on the new engine, hopefully i the next race he will get it setup better so he can go a little quicker.

It was an undeniably epic performance by valentino at assen last year but casey did crash in the warm-up and didn't match his practice pace, for which no-one can be blamed except him. Hopefully we might see a race this year particularly if you are going to be there with a 1 second margin, although to be honest I usually enjoy such races more in retrospect

I don't think there are many who disagree with you. Someone needs to communicate this to dorna though.

I was very happy to see Mika Kallio take the win,he started way back from the first lap and then fought his way through.Yes of course he was extremly lucky, but he did a great race and got one chance and took it.Lucky, but it couldn't have been done without the hard work he did.

It was a great win for Stoner also ,good for the championship.
Very strong riding from Lorenzo and Ben Spies. In the race it looked like Lorenzo had decided he would take no risks, but then midway he realised -i can go much faster and still be safe.Or he simply couldn't contain him self and the racing/winner mind took over.
Ben Spies took points!and on that track ,also, with changing weather over the weekend!
As Capirossi wasn't in the race i was hoping for Ducati and Stoner and it looks like he is back,Sweet!

too late, would be seen as a backward step. technology is all about getting more from something smaller
