Rumor has it Alex Barros will sub for the unfit Toni Elias. Your thoughts? Personally, I would have liked to see James Toseland get the ride for his home round but it sounds like he is contracted to Ten Kate where as Barros is contracted to Honda Europe and they placed him in the Klaffi team.

Obviously as a brit i would love to see James on that bike, but i dont think he could do anything with it, no offence James. His style, i think, is very superbike orientated.

'ol Barros would be a much safer bet to get a result.

I think Barros would be perfect actually, from the Fortuna point of view...he's got good Motogp experience and he knows the competition...I was sad to see him leave actually....I don't think Kate will let Toseland go...I think you're right about the contract limitations....

Pretty spot on there, I think.

Why were you sad to see him go? I mean sure, he's one of the nice guys in the paddock but he was getting on in age and it was time for some younger guys to get a chance. After all, who else had a career that spanned 500cc USGP and a 990cc USGP?

I saw him riding Supermoto at Road America in 2002. I had heard rumors of him having some consultant gig with a team over here but that was a few months ago and nothing since. Oh, he will be at Yamaha's Day of Champions, or whatever they're calling it, at Laguna Seca this year.

Like you said...very likeable guy....I like personalities in a paddock. Maybe that's why I like Rossi so much (besides having watched him from 125 on)...and that's probably why I don't like Pedrosa....great on the bike, just horrible people skills....I think I like the idea of Barros coming back in an stirring up the old mix again..

Looks like you guys got a cool little operation there. Best of luck to both of you.

So Vermulen must have been on a different contract to JT. That`s a bit weird... Barros is definately a safer bet. JT has probably never saddled up in an RCV, he`d still have the initial learning curve to deal with. Barros won a GP on it last year. That was an achivement. Definately the most qualified Honda Superbiker they could pull out of Europe, if not, the world for the job. There is someone else Gresini could call. Someone with a chance at a good result. Maybe even a podium.... All old Gresini would have to do is sever all his ties with Honda and be prepared for his team, the bikes, the weather, the position of the planets and anything else blameable to cop the blame publically if this guy dosen`t win.One guess at who it is.

Oh no Richo! We can't have HIM back!!!! Nooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! For the first time there's no one I really don't like in the MotoGP paddock. And although it's nice to have someone to dislike, Sete fits the bill perfectly, thank you very much.
We can't have that delusional semi-psychotic win-the-race-or-crash-trying dude back. No!
To be honest, after Barcelona (when both riders were still 'out' of the Assen race) I thought they were going to call him in to ride one of the Ducatis. Desperate times, desperate measures kind of thing. But guess no one's THAT desperate for a rider!!!!!!! Phew!
Donington will be a tough time for Vale and Melandrino...I want to concentrate on sending out my positive mental vibes to them without any distractions!!!

So your in to minimoto's have a look at my boys site tell me what you think? http://www.screamingchief.piczo.com/?cr=3&rfm=y

What a cool site, your kid looks proper fast! faster than me anyway! Im 23 so i wish i would have started earlier as i could be faster by now.

All ive got is a cag, i just take it to arrive and ride meetings, i cant justify buying a european bike cos i only ride every now and again for fun really. I'd LOVE a european bike though, a GRC RR or a polini GP3 would be amazing. What most of the general public dont get is how much faster the european bikes are compared to the chinese reps.

Ive also yet to ride an outdoor track as well, thats guna be cool.

You sohuld have seen mine. I abused the poor thing and painted lime green with a can of spray paint so cheap a graffiti artist wouldnt use it. Also smashed the tail unit clean off going over a jump, welded a sissy bar onto it (Cant remember why I did, it looked like a sick child of the ZXRR and a Harley shovel) then deflated the rear tyre a bit to take the thing off road. My mate rolled it (How do you roll a bike?
<
You roll cars, not bikes!) which resulted in the faring coming off and me making a minimoto streetfighter. Now it`s just a wreck lying in the back of the shed. It just goes to show that I have no respect for the Chinese motorcycle industry and its products.
<
But I had some fun on that bike in my pre-liscence days. I even rocked up to my high school prom on it, doing stoppies and burnouts. I made my date walk so I could show off to my mates

god Im an .......

1. Stoner
2. Pedrosa
3. Rossi
disputed between the three with wild passes during the last three laps and Rossi gentlemanly confirming that his wrist was not a problem.

OK, now the reality check:
Eurobet:
V.Rossi (Race) 1.80 1.20
N.Hayden (Race) 5.00 1.35
D.Pedrosa (Race) 7.00 2.00
C.Edwards (Race) 11.00 2.60
C.Stoner (Race) 13.50 3.00
