<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE<div class='quotemain'>Before he races the Celtic Yamaha Supersport bike at Laguna Seca, Brit Chaz Davies will ride something with a bit more power. He will test the all-conquering factory Ducati MotoGP bike at a two-day test at Mugello. Davies will join regular Ducati MotoGP tester Vito Guareschi at the test.

Davies raced the Pramac D'Antin team's version of the machine at Laguna Seca earlier this season.

Good for him. He hasn't impressed me on the Supersport bike here in the US, but he did impress with the Laguna Seca run.

Chaz is a very good rider. He showed that at Laguna Seca. About time that they are taking notice of the British riders more now in Moto GP. I hope Chaz will do well in the test whenever it is.

good for him

now is his chance to shine and show the powers that be that he should have ridden at Brno instead of Silva

hopefully still might get a ride next year

damm hes testing a duke, he prob wont wanna ride the yamaha then after hes held the horns of the beast then gets stuck on a yam it seems pointless the yamaha will seem like a moped after having a blast on the duke

Haha. Remeber, Chaz is not a factory rider. Celtic is far from factory. If he does well in the test, I think he could be on the bike for the races after that.

this is Chaz chance to show he is worth a place at D'Antin next year.

yea lets give more Motogp rides out to non champions!

In Laguna Seca, D'Antin already said that Chaz was worth another test.

Problem is that D'Antin has got plenty of riders on offer.

Nakano being one of them and it is said the Spanish team has just made an offer to Elias.

But anyway, a test is a good way to show what you can do.

i hope someone gives him a whole season on a gp bike, then we will see how quick he learns and whether he is made of the right stuff.

He was quick in the Daytona 200 on the Formula Xtreme bike. And I think he took a Supersport bike to the podium at the Mid Ohio Formula Xtreme race. He's been quick most of the time over here on tracks that are new to him (and probably a big departure from the European GP tracks he had previously raced on). Chaz has a bright future, be it AMA, WSBK, or GP.

It looks official to me that Chaz is going to test the Ducati. I really do hope he does have a future in Moto GP. He is only 20 years old don't forget. He has plenty of years ahead of him. I wish this guy all the best of luck.

Aren't casey and chaz good mates?

yes

They have been good mate since they raced together back in the early days. Can't remember what bike racing series they both raced together in.
